  2. You just play him at the premium position in the minors to find out. There is literally no risk right now.
  3. If medicals are an issue, watch Baltimore pass too.
  4. Madrigal born on Konerko’s 21st birthday. Feel old?
  5. Unless he’s there on his own to hunt and fish, the Sox fly to Minneapolis tonight.
  6. First 43 picks are on MLB Network and mlb.com at 6pm. Picks 44-78 on mlb.com Tues at noon: Rounds 3-10, mlb.com Wed at 11am: Rounds 11-40, mlb.com
  7. The goofy practice swing after every pitch is a tad annoying. Gotta knock though. I’m resigned to the Sox taking Singer. It’ll be alright.
  8. No, I agree. The Sox have to hit on a college player that will contribute within a couple years.
  9. Watching this preview show. Mayo loves Liberatore. Obviously the Sox won’t take him.
  10. I think they go to mlb.com after 30 picks. It changed last year.
  11. I’m at the point of not caring what they do, but all the decisions they make better add up to an above .500 team in 2020, and multiple playoff teams 2021-2025. If it looks like a failure after 2020, everyone has to go. How’s that pleasant thought the night before the draft? Lol. Tomorrow is also the two year anniversary of the Shields trade.
  12. This power struggle thing...could it be interpreted that they are married to Anderson and Moncada up the middle, and JR and KW are going to take another pitcher to avoid that tough decision later on by not taking Madrigal?
  13. Haven’t watched a pitch until now. First thing I hear “in our time zone...” click.
  14. Seems like no team in the top 6-7 can really dream on a prep player and risk looking stupid. So we’ll get a decent major league player that will probably not be a star, but some team from 8-20 will luck into an all-star/MVP. You guys have sufficiently scared me about Singer, but if the Sox take him, welcome aboard. Maybe 46 will be our future superstar.
  15. On a day-to-day basis, I'd just like to see the Sox winning percentage stay at or under .333. If 54-108 isn't enough for the first or second pick, oh well. Looking at the June schedule, the Sox will probably have another single-digit win total. 7-22 wouldn't surprise me at all.
  16. Mark me down for Mize, Madrigal, Bart, or Bohm. This thread is guaranteed to be hilarious to read in 5 years.
  17. So he won’t be making his debut at Fenway next weekend then? Hardyharhar.
  18. Winston-Salem is televised after the Sox game. 5p. Hour delay.
  19. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?cid=&lid=&org=145&sc=&sid=milb&t=affiliate&ymd=20180602 Looks like the Dominican Summer League has begun. Kopech at 5:05 central
  20. First 54-games: 1. Sox 17-37 2. Bal 17-37 3. KC 18-36 4. Cin 19-35 5. Mia 20-34 6. SD 22-32 7. Tex 22-32
