  1. WGN Fri, 7:05- Covey vs Gallardo Sat, 8:05- Rodon vs Colon Sun, 2:05- Lopez vs Hamels HOT
  2. Nice catch. Forbes needs to drop the bat and run hard.
  3. He doesn’t seem like the bragging type. On a separate thought...I wonder if his lack of pop in the last month is wrist related. Maybe he needs a little break now, which would be ok.
  4. Very impressive start for Abel. Shaddy should have caught that foul ball last night.
  5. I’m going to forget about what I’ve seen so far from Madrigal...a lot of weak contact, and even when he squares it up, it doesn’t fly. But his pitch recognition is great, and not striking out will be his biggest strength.
  6. Gotta give Shields, Lopez, and even Giolito credit for making it to the half way point without missing a start. It’s good to have a few durable starters.
  7. Madrigal may have a big AB in the 9th, due up 3rd. 3-2 Arkansas, bottom 8
  8. A’s major league record streak of 27 road games with a homerun comes to an end. Still won in Detroit.
  9. I was going to say worst ever, but the 1994 AL West would have sent an under .500 team to the playoffs.
  10. Worst division in the 18 years of the heavily unbalanced schedule.
  11. They already won three in a row this season. April 26, 27, and Game 1 on the 28th in KC.
  12. Ha, I know. It’s already a done deal if he’s there at 3. Considering the Royals have Perez and the Orioles always need pitching, I guess we can hope they both pass- but they probably won’t. Rutschman is the real deal.
  13. Donn Roach, like the Pope Donn Pall
  14. 3.5 games better than KC Marlins would have to be 5 games worse to pass the Sox. The Sox are in the 3rd pick comfort zone right now. I wouldn’t be mad or surprised if they stay at 3 the final 96 days of the season.
  15. Yes. And rooting for guys that have some trade value in the next five weeks. 61-101 seems about right, with the 3rd pick.
  16. Royals now have the worst record. Because of the tiebreaker, the Sox have a 5.5 game lead for the 3rd pick.
  17. Sucks, but this is why the stockpile is so important. And you can’t write him off forever. He could still be fine in 2020.
  18. Madrigal made a nice play going to his right. Rutschman is a guy I’d love the Sox to get next year if the planets align.
  19. Stephens reminds me of Josh Fogg.
