Without knowing the layout of the facilities, it’s possible they carted him somewhere for time saving purposes, not because he’s soft.

I'd be very interested to know how many players at any level of professional baseball have gone 36 plate appearances without a K at any time this season. Probably very few, and he's doing it from the jump.

Kopech will be a couple weeks from 23. Jimenez will be 22. Finish the season out in Charlotte, play the roster game at the start of another playoff-less 2019 season, and let them be true rookies around April 15th to get the extra year. To me, it’s common sense.
