  1. Madrigal 1-3, popped out to 1b, so he’s no Votto.
  2. Plus it’s an economic scam. The PA should want starting pitchers. You start a game, you don’t pitch for three days.
  3. Eloy double 4/12/2019
  4. Madrigal ground out. Just glad they’re playing.
  5. https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/white-sox/white-sox-talk-podcast-rick-hahn-unplugged-live-remote-podcast Have not listened to it yet, but I’m sure this was covered.
  6. Dodgers moved 20-yr old SS Gavin Lux to AA. He singled in his first AB. 3-4, homer
  7. It is pretty amazing how polarizing he is. I said earlier today that I think his next 162 games played will be much better, and at least one person took it as a shot. His first 162 have been uneven, to say the least. His talent is immense, but if he just makes the routine play and finds a better approach at the plate, he’s going to be an MVP candidate someday.
  8. If Madrigal gets picked 4th out of college, and doesn’t make it to the big leagues, literally everyone in the prospect business is wrong. He’s going to be the Sox 2b because he puts the bat on the ball, plays solid defense, and isn’t going to be an idiot on or off the field.
  9. So, is 235 k’s in your first 162 games played an all-time record?
  10. Through 108 (record in games 55-108): 1. Bal 33-75 (16-38) 2. KC 34-74 (16-38) 3. Sox 38-70 (21-33) 4. SD 42-66 (20-34)
  11. Bam!!! well, it was fun while it lasted. 3rd pick ain’t bad.
  12. Experience. I think it’ll get through to him that he needs to be more aggressive with two strikes and just get the bat on the ball. I guess I’m just being optimistic that these tools he has turn into a baseball player.
  13. I’m saying his slash line will improve. His k’s will be a lot fewer. His defense will be better- probably at 3b if he gets moved. His flashes of athleticism are great, but he’ll be a more well-rounded player by the end of 2019.
  14. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?cid=&lid=&org=145&sc=&sid=milb&t=affiliate&ymd=20180802 w-s doubleheader at 4.
  15. Today is the 162nd game played in the big leagues for Moncada. My guess is 163 to 324 will be a lot better. He’s too good not to improve a lot.
  16. Hahn is doing the Garfien podcast tonight from a bar. That should be interesting.
  17. Sox hold the tiebreaker over everyone except the Tigers, Giants, and Phillies. Orioles will pick first. No doubt in my mind.
  18. The Royals schedule is soft enough that 24-31 isn’t out of the question. That would put them at 58-104. The Sox would have to go 21-34 the rest of the way.
  19. Doubt the Sox catch KC, but a loss today would put the Sox two back (ahead) with 54 left and six head-to-head remaining. fun fact: Royals are done with the AL West and Yankees and Red Sox. So they do have some easier opportunities for wins. I hope Lopez is good, but they lose today.
  20. Madrigal 0-3, but still K-less Only one error as a pro too, and that was at SS in Arz. It seems like they have just made him a 2B only guy now, so I’d have no problem flipping Sanchez and Moncada in Chicago. Face the inevitable now.
