Yeah, I don’t know how he doesn’t fly through the system if he never strikes out, gets on base all the time, and plays solid defense. Winston-Salem will be in the playoffs, but I don’t doubt he could handle AA very soon.

They’ll both be up 9 months from now. Nine months is nothing. Kopech will be a couple weeks from 23. Jimenez will be 22. Finish the season out in Charlotte, play the roster game at the start of another playoff-less 2019 season, and let them be true rookies around April 15th to get the extra year. To me, it’s common sense.

With 65 games left, he’d probably get 13 starts either way. Tyler Danish is destined to start game 162.

I’m in the “keep Eloy and Kopech in Charlotte” camp. If the CBA changes, it very well could be free agency after 5 years...which would make it even worse. Of course, there might not be a 2022 season, so there’s that.
