Still think Eloy stays in Birmingham until after the Southern League AS Game(in Birmingham). In Charlotte on June 21st, and finishes out the minor league season there. Major league debut April 15, 2019. Or around there.
  7. 1. Yoan Moncada (S) 2B 2. Yolmer Sanchez (S) 3B 3. Jose Abreu (R) DH 4. Daniel Palka (L) RF 5. Matt Skole (L) 1B 6. Tim Anderson (R) SS 7. Adam Engel (R) CF 8. Charlie Tilson (L) LF 9. Alfredo Gonzalez (R) C
  8. Sox need to trade Abreu and Shields, and not bring up Eloy or Kopech until next mid-April. But seriously, there's a handful of terrible teams that will finish in the bottom 5- Sox, Royals, Orioles, Reds, Marlins. These teams are just outmatched. Now that the Rays have given up, maybe the Orioles beat them some, and the pitchers they thought would be serviceable actually start doing that. If the Sox go 58-104 and don't pick first, it's not like it's something to complain that they didn't lose enough.
  9. I heard the Hostetler interview too, and came away with the same- wouldn’t be surprised at all if the Sox got stuck on Kelenic a year ago, and are going with him if Madrigal is off the board- and maybe even if he isn’t. Definitely hoping for a bat first, then worry about pitching rounds 2-5.
  10. 19 games with Cleveland. Even with their bad bullpen, the Sox will go 6-13, at best. 4-15 wouldn’t surprise me. Sox will probably be 30-60 six weeks from now.
  11. Sox finish the week with the worst winning percentage. Bobby. Witt. June-Yah.
  12. Heard a Score caller this morning complain about Zack Collins’ .265 average. Two more walks tonight. He’s having a great season. Hope he can catch.
  13. They could replace Benetti and Stone with these guys, and I’d be ok with it.
  14. This may be hyperbolic, but when I watch Cease, I see a more surer thing to be a great big leaguer than Kopech. I just don’t know in which role.
  15. Glad the Indians can grab 3 wins next week to get over .500 to make this division less of a joke. Sox will play the Indians 10 of next 23 games starting Monday.
  16. HD cameras must not be cheap. Nice quick first inning.
  17. Sox go to Baltimore in September with 16 games left in the season. Tank Bowl 2018.
  18. Does Garneau immediately replace Alfredo Gonzalez tomorrow night? Is he a better option?
  19. Rondon batting 5th, Tilson in LF batting 8th. Happy for Tilson. Play the whole game.
  20. Hopefully Giolito is good, but I’ll take a higher pick than the O’s next year.
  21. 10 of the opening day 25 are gone in one form or another.
