  1. Picked the wrong year to stop sniffing glue.
  2. Fernando Tatis Jr...because it has to be brought up some time.
  3. Bad relay, but I respect the woodwork by Baez there.
  4. I like this. Take a polished hitter and if he forces you to make a tough decision in a year or two, so be it.

Oh, come on. You know you love Daniel Palka, Trayce Thompson and Adam Engel.
  6. Thank god The Players is this weekend.

He should stay in Birmingham until the Southern League All Star Game is over on June 19---then be sent to Charlotte for the rest of the season. Play about 125 games for the season, tell him "nice job", and see ya at Soxfest. Then next March, send him down at the end of spring training, and bring him up after the 7>6 date. Of course by the time the next CBA gets ratified, it may be a 6>5 date.
  8. Unfortunately, reading from “experts” neither Collins nor Zavala are going to be full time catchers in the bigs. My hope is Collins can actually improve behind the plate.
  9. As far as I’m concerned, the best move with Kopech and Eloy is to wait until next April/May to be under control through 2025.
  10. Fowler first big league hit at Yankee Stadium vs Sonny Gray- the guy he was traded for. So, we good?
  11. Nice to see Collins at .239 and trending up with the power and walks. But damn we need a legit catcher in 2020. Not following draft stuff, but if Joey Bart is “4-worthy”, maybe he’s the best pick.
  12. Kopech begins with 3 k
  13. The bell curve of winning and losing teams in MLB should generally be .400 to .600, with maybe a team below and a team over. What’s going on now is terrible for the game, and I say that as a fan of the rebuild. The next CBA needs to address this for the good of the game.
  14. That send was Capraesque.
  15. In a rebuild year, I’m ready to give Covey another shot. He’s had a couple bad control games himself, but Fulmer is just too inconsistent and certainly won’t be in the rotation in a couple years.
  16. After starting 2-0, the Sox will be the last team to win their 10th game, hopefully tomorrow.

Vizquel sounded very high on Rutherford today.
  18. NL teams are 19-6 playing with a DH this season.
  19. Orioles 9-27 Sox will be 9-28 on Sunday night. (Reverse jinx)
  20. Fowler played in his second big league game today. So, we good?
  21. Just a little kudos to Nick Markakis closing in on 2100 hits at age 34. Dude knows how to stay on the field and produce.

    Adolfo 1-1, .330
  23. Just watched the Leury play, and that was nitpicky by Renteria.
  24. Agreed. Reds, Orioles, White Sox are losing 100+. Marlins and Padres may fall back to that level of suck, and maybe the Royals depending on the Tigers being a little better than expected. The bottom five teams this year will set an all time low winning percentage for bottom five teams...by design.
