  1. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Oct 4, 2017 -> 11:49 AM) Why does everyone here want the Indians to win it all? I'd rather see Sale win it all if it has to be an AL team, but I'd prefer the Nats or Dodgers to win it all. I'd like to see the Indians win because they've been close 3 times in the last 22 years (twice, extremely close). It would be a good story. Also, I'm not rooting for the Yankees and Red Sox to make the ALCS again. Forget that noise. Cubs? Obviously not. And I'm mostly an AL fan. If it's Astros-Indians and Dodgers-Nationals, I'm cool with anything as long as it's good baseball. But let's just get the Red Sox and Cubs out of there next week.
  2. In the last 54 games, the Indians were 30 games better than the Tigers. Indians 43-11 Tigers 13-41
  3. Stanton ends at 59
  4. Tigers threaten, don’t score in the 8th. 4-1, Twins. 1. Tigers 2. Giants 3. Phillies 4. White Sox 5. Reds 6. Mets 7. Padres 8. Braves 9. A’s 10. Pirates
  5. Sandoval walkoff homer. Tigers pick 1st if they lose.
  6. 4th baby!
  7. Tigers are going to lose. Giants tied in the 9th
  8. Interleague will end: AL 160 NL 140 Very typical.
  9. QUOTE (flavum @ Oct 1, 2017 -> 04:18 PM) 6 more outs for the Ohio teams—Sox get 4th pick. 3 outs to go
  10. 6 more outs for the Ohio teams—Sox get 4th pick.
  11. Hosmer, Moustakas, Cain, and Escobar left the field at the same time. Cool moment.
  12. Kinda crazy how these meaningless games have the potential of changing franchises for years.
  13. Reds up 1-0 after 4. Rob Fn Brantly
  14. Instead of ranking the 10 teams in order of preference, how do you want this to go down? I want Yankees and Dbacks to win. Then... Indians beat Yankees Astros beat Red Sox Nationals beat Cubs Dodgers beat Dbacks Then... Indians beat Astros Dodgers beat Nationals Then... Indians beat Dodgers But in short...no 3-seeds past next weekend.
  15. Bruce is going to have a big October.
  16. QUOTE (FloydBannister1983 @ Oct 1, 2017 -> 02:46 PM) Forgive me for being confused but isn't that what nearly everyone on these boards wanted the Sox to do this year? I remember half the board even wanting the Cubs to sweep them. How is what the Tigers did any different? The Tigers were 51-57, and then went 13-40. It’s not like they went 22-32 three times in a row. It’s been an historic freefall for Detroit.

  18. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Oct 1, 2017 -> 02:35 PM) All three walks came around to score. Walks’ll kill ya. Reds-Cubs scoreless after 1
  19. Twins/Tigers may have to wait out the rain for a while. If the Giants lose and Phillies win, it won’t matter if they play. edit: first pitch 2:50
  20. https://twitter.com/hoynsie/status/914525954852212736 I could see a few of the Indians coming out of the game after a couple at bats. They're playing for absolutely nothing other than the home crowd.
  21. It's early to predict, but is it conceivable the Sox could be better than the Tigers and Royals? Absolutley. The Twins? Maybe. The Rays, Orioles, Rangers, A's, Angels? Hmmm... Middle of the pack if all goes right. It's a team that has the potential to surprise, but the rebuild continues.
  22. Just for today... Ohio > Illinois
  23. I said 65-97, and I should have been right, dammit!
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 1, 2017 -> 10:40 AM) Only like 6 games. When he announced his retirement, they said he'd be doing every Sunday home game. Did that change?
