  1. QUOTE (Soha @ Sep 10, 2017 -> 06:57 PM) The Giants have a brutal schedule to end the season. I have a hard time thinking the Sox are going to catch them. I'd almost call catching the Phillies a little more likely. In the end though, just hold on to the #3 pick at this point. True, but as of now, the Sox have 16 out of 20 games left with teams playing for something. Hopefully the Angels will still be in it, and the Indians are fighting for HFA.
  2. What's left... Phillies-- 54-89 3 vs Mia 3 vs Oak 4 vs LA 3 at Atl 3 vs Was 3 vs NYM Good for the Sox, but seriously, no team should finish a season with 5 out of 6 series at home or on the road. Giants- 56-89 3 vs LA 3 vs Arz 2 vs Col 3 at LA 3 at Arz 3 vs SD White Sox- 56-86 3 at KC 4 at Det 3 at Hou 3 vs KC 4 vs LAA 3 at Cle
  3. Sunday: Won- White Sox, Reds, A's, Braves, Blue Jays Lost- Phillies, Giants, Tigers, Mets, Padres 21 days left Team (Games left) - Sox Magic Number to have higher pick: 1. Phillies(19) - 23 (-3.5 GB) 2. Giants(17) - 20 (-1.5 GB) 3. White Sox(20) 4. Tigers(20) - 16 5. Reds(18) - 15 6. A's(19) - 14 7. Mets(19) - 13 8. Braves(20) - 13 9. Padres(18) - 12 10. Blue Jays(19) - 10
  4. Also keep in mind the Giants have been in Chicago since Wednesday night, had an off day on Thursday in a fun city, and they suck.
  5. Great Falls playoff http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?s...ilb&org=145
  6. The Dodgers are two innings away from losing 10 in a row. That's why baseball is unpredictable and great.
  7. The Tigers and Reds would have to be five games worse than the Sox the rest of the way to have a better pick. The Sox and Tigers play four starting Thursday.
  8. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 10, 2017 -> 04:20 PM) Yup- given that there's no clear cut #1 or #2, it's not that big of a deal. Pool money wise, it does matter, but nothing to cry about. Who is to say 1-3, all three get the player they want anyway?
  9. Sweep! Brewers two back with 19 left. (Divisions in baseball still suck)
  10. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Sep 10, 2017 -> 04:14 PM) Same here. If Cleveland finishes with the most wins in the AL, wouldn't that put Boston against Houston in the ALDS? Yep. Best record faces wildcard regardless of division.
  11. Everyone's record after 142: Min 74-68 LAA 72-70 Bal 71-71 Tex 71-71 Sea 71-71 KC 71-71 TB 70-72
  12. Ultimately, the Sox having a 4-23 stretch got them a top-3 pick, and after that it's all gravy.
  13. I'm still hoping for a reliever that can go 90-100 innings and sometimes vulture a win. Love it to be Fulmer. Maybe that could be his niche.
  14. QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Sep 10, 2017 -> 03:07 PM) This team can't do anything right. We can't even lose the right games? Always get out tanked by the smarter teams. Not a chance Fulmer is anywhere near this good. Not watching, but I believe you.
  15. Loser gets the 2nd pick, winner gets the 3rd pick? Possibly. I'm happy with today's matchup.
  16. Bumgarner vs Fulmer https://mobile.twitter.com/ChrisKuc/status/...903904918663171 Go Baseball!
  17. Saturday: Won- Phillies, White Sox, A's(2), Mets, Braves, Padres, Blue Jays Lost- Giants, Reds, Tigers 22 days left Team (Games left) - Sox Magic Number to have higher pick: 1. Phillies(20) - 23 (-2.5 GB) 2. Giants(18) - 20 (-0.5 GB) 3. White Sox(21) 4. Tigers(21) - 16 5. Reds(19) - 16 6. A's(20) - 15 7. Mets(20) - 13 8. Braves(21) - 14 9. Padres(19) - 12 10. Blue Jays(20) - 11
  18. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 9, 2017 -> 10:17 PM) Not worried but give up switch hitting ? Sounds like worried to me. Not worried.
  19. QUOTE (Scoots @ Sep 9, 2017 -> 04:15 PM) Thoroughly enjoying a Brewers slaughter of the Cubs right now. And Brew Crew won yesterday as well. With a win today they will only be 3 games back of the Cubs. How hilarious would it be if the Cubs lost their division lead and didn't make the playoffs 15-0, ha Hopefully the Cardinals win tonight, and have two teams 3 behind with 20 left. Sucks about Jimmy Nelson. Probably too little, too late. Back to the Sox... Sox win 9-8 in 11
  20. Indians- 17 in a row I hope they beat the Astros in the ALCS.
  21. Jimmy Nelson out for the year, rotator cuff injured on the basepaths.
  22. Sanchez 3B Moncada 2B Abreu 1B Delmonico LF A Garcia RF Narvaez C Anderson SS Brantly DH Engel CF
  23. Shark vs Shields Final score...whatcha got?
  24. Take the good with the bad now. He's the 2B to start the season next season with a full spring training to work on things, and it's his age 23 season with a team that isn't expected to contend. If he's kinda the same guy in middle of next June, then it may be something to worry about.
