  1. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ May 5, 2016 -> 08:11 PM) The Sox only have 2 consistently reliable starting pitchers right now...ugh. Latos is fine. Don't lump him with Rodon yet.
  2. QUOTE (GreenSox @ May 4, 2016 -> 06:49 PM) I can't figure out who to root for in the Central, other than the Twins. So I guess beating each other up is the best thing for the Sox. Yeah, until they get to September, it's hard to decide who to root for when the Tigers/Royals/Indians play each other. By the way, the Sox have played the fewest division games than anyone in baseball- 5. Dominate the Twins, and win 9 or 10 against the other three, and the division is won.
  3. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ May 4, 2016 -> 01:28 PM) Nationals up 4-0 on the Royals already and there's still nobody out in the top of the 1st. Three errors. Must have enjoyed that win last night.
  4. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 4, 2016 -> 01:21 PM) Really hope its not one of ours. Doesn't sound like it will be anyone major, possibly nobody on a 25-man right now. It's interesting the testing improved to catch some of these guys taking old school steroids that used to be undetectable after a week. Now they catch you after months in your system.
  5. 538 has the Sox at 91-71, and almost 70% to make the postseason. http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-mlb-predictions/ Fangraphs is around 87 wins, and 65% http://www.fangraphs.com/coolstandings.aspx If the Sox pitching staff stays healthy (knock on wood), it would be a huge disappointment if they don't win 90 games after starting 19-8. 71-64 the rest of the way should be doable. I'm saying 93-69 now.
  6. Gonzalez- 96 pitches, 61 strikes 5.2 innings, 8 hits, 2 er, 2 bb, 7 k
  7. When the Sox start Sale, Quintana, and Latos....16-1...no big deal.
  8. Royals threatening in the 9th. Papelbon blows the save.
  9. Q is awesome. It's fun to be the good team on the field.
  10. Since 1961: 2005- 20-7, 99-63 2016- 19-8 1965- 19-8, 95-67 1967- 19-8, 89-73 2006- 19-8, 90-72 1964- 18-9, 98-64 1973- 18-9, 77-85 1982- 18-9, 87-75 1963- 17-10, 94-68 1972- 17-10, 87-67 (strike shortened) 1977- 17-10, 90-72 1990- 17-10, 94-68 1992- 17-10, 86-76 2000- 17-10, 95-67 2002- 17-10, 81-81 2004- 17-10, 83-79
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 3, 2016 -> 09:49 PM) What happened to all the Red Sox fans that used to invade the Cell? Those games would have minimum 30k. Early May has a lot to do with it.
  12. QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ May 3, 2016 -> 09:46 PM) Not bad numbers for a Tuesday night. The Sox should get huge crowds this weekend if the forecast stays good. I think fans are going to start trying to catch some early games now.
  13. Royals losing too. NL kicking ass in interleague so far this season...also good for the Sox.
  14. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 3, 2016 -> 09:33 PM) Who's starting for the White Sox tmrw? The rotation now is Quintana, Rodon and Johnson? Sale or Latos going Friday, or will they give Latos an extra day of rest? Sale, for his part, had a "workmanlike" effort Sunday, very early elevated pitch count...a bit lower velocity, they might be better off starting him Saturday, but just IMHO. Rodon, Johnson, Latos, Sale, Quintana
  15. Q should be done now. I'm a big believer in keeping guys in for 1-0 and 2-1 games unless the pitch count is way up there.
  16. I stand by my earlier comment. If it's 2-1, I want Q to finish.
  17. QUOTE (flavum @ May 2, 2016 -> 06:55 PM) Fun note: After McCutchen hit a homer off Jason Hammel, the only starting pitcher to not give up a homer this season is Jose Quintana. (Min 25 innings) My fault
  18. QUOTE (hi8is @ May 3, 2016 -> 05:53 PM) For us out of towners, could you please recap? Kinda typical stuff... Tough to let Danks go. Happy with new additions Johnson will get an opportunity, but also mentioned Gonzalez and Turner If a video link is available, I'll throw it on here. Coop is supposed to be on too.
