  1. If Sale, Samardzija, and Quintana had two great months of being a top 3, nobody would care that Danks had a handful of bad starts. He's a 5th starter who got hurt after being paid. Nothing he can do about it now. If he gets 32 starts, and the Sox go 16-16 in hist starts, mission accomplished from your 5th starter.
  2. Chris and Christian Marrero batting back-to-back. Not confusing at all. Carroll 5.2 scoreless. Come on back.
  3. Looking likely Carlos Correa will make his debut at the Cell.
  4. Well, Month 2 is in the books, and 14-13 is better, but not good enough. The Indians started 10-17, and they came back with a 16-11. -54 run diff after 54. 196 runs scored. 3.63 run average. They pretty much have to be the best team in the AL the rest of the season to make the postseason. Ain't happening.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 6, 2015 -> 08:31 PM) Rain out likely? They'll be there all day if they have to be. No way they want to put a doubleheader on the schedule for the last weekend of the season.
  6. Samardzija has a huge start tomorrow. That is all. Go Hawks.
  7. Fulmer doesn't exactly have a starter's mound presence. Kinda hope he's gone when the Sox pick.
  8. Twins lose to the Brewers. It would be nice to have a week where the A's sweep the Tigers, and the Brewers sweep the Twins...on the road.
  9. Nice insurance run for the Brewers. Carlos Gomez hurting his old team.
  10. So this is from a year ago? No, but Vasgersian and Smoltz is a nice combo.
  11. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 6, 2015 -> 09:44 AM) Interview still going on? Summary of how it went? You didn't miss much. Pre-draft, they really aren't going to give much. Just theory, best player available, so on.
  12. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 6, 2015 -> 09:14 AM) And you can use the money you were going to spend on Shark on something else. This is an excellent post. If the Sox don't make the playoffs, it's still a disappointment. They didn't enter this season with the intention of not making the playoffs. But the difference is, not making moves that will hamstring them for future seasons. They are doing better at not being stupid (that is if Melky starts hitting a little), but in the Sale/Abreu years going forward, a non-playoff season is a bad season.
  13. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Jun 6, 2015 -> 12:28 AM) This division is for the takins. One thing is for sure--the Twins won-loss record the first 54 games was pretty lucky. 32-22, with 22 quality starts isn't sustainable to end up winning 96 games. They've probably played their way to contending the rest of the season, but I think when it's said and done, 87-89 wins will win the division. It wouldn't surprise me if four teams from the division end up with 86-89 wins and play extra baseball.
  14. Laumann on the Score in the next couple hours. (9:33-ish)
  15. QUOTE (LDF @ Jun 5, 2015 -> 11:31 PM) i missed the whole game and what a great night, sox won. here is a question, how many games have the sox went into extra innings. and how many of those were a sox victory. http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CH...le-scores.shtml Now 4-2 in extras.
  16. Q got the no decison, but that's only 3 out of 11 starts. He's 2-6, with a 4.28 ERA.
  17. Quintana good. LaRoche clutch. Bullpen, great!
  18. Hurt So Good. Come on Baby, Make It Hurt So Good...
  19. That stirring thing is played out so bad.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 5, 2015 -> 10:07 PM) anyone know what the tigers have in terms of long relief? Gorzelanny?
  21. Wow, the Rockies drew the short straw on weather this season.
  22. The winner of this game gains an entire game on the rest of the division today.
