  1. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 12, 2015 -> 09:18 PM) Maybe some will lay off Robin a bit more now. He makes bad calls but the grass ain't always greener, tonight was a horrendously coached game. They can't both be inept?
  2. Sanchez is a guy you want to root for, but is totally overmatched in the big leagues. It sucks.
  3. Samardzija better be on tomorrow, or I don't want to see him wearing a Hawks jersey tomorrow night.
  4. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 12, 2015 -> 08:56 PM) It scares me how totally confident everyone in the org is about Avi becoming, not just an average player, but a monster. He's 24, and you can already tell he'll age like s***.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 12, 2015 -> 08:49 PM) I don't think there's a chance they go into next season with him as starting catcher I agree. I don't see much chance he'll stay as a backup either. Otherwise Sale will want him as a starter because he's used to it. They need to take away his toy.
  6. Flowers is going to survive this season, but they need to replace him after this year, and have a fresh spring training with a new guy next year.
  7. Have you noticed Abreu's last two homers, he's slapped hands with McEwing with his left hand? He's playing hurt.
  8. Astros put up an 8-spot in the first inning off King Felix. We did well.

  10. Shane Greene to AAA. Surprised it took that long.
  11. Basically, he said Robin offered to fly overnight from LA (or whatever) to St. Pete, manage Sunday, and fly to Pittsburgh with the team. Rick told him that was too much, enjoy his time off, and join the team on Monday in Pittsburgh refreshed. Pretty simple decision. Moving on...
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 12, 2015 -> 08:24 AM) The haters should be comforted in knowing that when Robin gets back from this "vacation", he will only have 2 days the next 4 weeks he won't be required to work. Slacker. I'm a hater of the term "Hater". Please stop.
  13. Next three opponents for Samardzija- Chris Archer, Gerrit Cole, and Mike Pelfrey. So that should go well.
  14. QUOTE (Mike F. @ Jun 11, 2015 -> 10:11 AM) The Sox seriously drafted a Reinsdorf? lol He wouldn't have been drafted had it not been for his name. It sucks that a more deserving player didn't get a chance because of that. For me, it's an eyeroll and move on. But really, I'd rather they just make it 30 rounds that count, and everyone else is a free agent. These token picks in the late rounds are stupid.
  15. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 11, 2015 -> 09:30 AM) Just reminds me of every season ever, where we are hovering 2 games above or below 500, 4-5 games out and thinking "well if we just put together one hot run!". Would be nice to see that happen. That's very true. This is the time to get hot--right now. If they get to 42-39 at the half point, I think a second half 46-35 for 88 wins is a possibility...especially if they're in a position to pick up a bat in late July. So 14-9 starting tomorrow night. Get hot.
  16. It got a little ugly on Tuesday night, but that was an impressive sweep. If Samardzija gets going, this team has an opportunity to get real hot. Starting pitching could be the best in the league the rest of the season.
  17. QUOTE (Chris Sale @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 09:06 PM) IDK if you know this but Gordon Beckham is truly one of the greatest players in White Sox history. It's not measured in statistics, or outcomes, or number of fastballs down the middle hit for sky-high pop ups, or really anything I can explain, but just trust me... I have a feeling about this. Can I get a lifelong position in the White Sox FO now? you're hired!

  19. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 08:16 PM) It is about to rain The rain looks well south, and moving that way. Unless new stuff is popping up.
  20. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 07:47 PM) To me, this just demonstrates Robin's lack of passion for the job. I have no problem with a parent attending his daughters graduation. However, any manager who really had a strong commitment to the position (and to the team) would minimize the time away. I doubt there is another manger in the league that would miss 3 games for this occasion. Almost all would miss one. Some would miss two. Missing an entire series just shows that our manager would rather have a vacation instead of working. That's a problem. Three games from Friday night to Sunday afternoon is pretty tight, especially coming back from California to St Pete. It's one more game...who gives a s***?
