QUOTE (BrianAnderson @ Apr 10, 2015 -> 01:54 PM)
I don't like calling anything must wins. It's way to over-reactive. However, I'd sure like to leave this series with a 2-4 record heading to CLE.
I'd like them to come home from Detroit at 6-5. But at least 5-6.
QUOTE (Condor13 @ Apr 10, 2015 -> 01:03 PM)
Not really, Micah is the Sox second baseman. Sanchez will no longer be with the major league team after tomorrow ( baring injuries he won't be back until September).
Petricka is going to need another week.
Sale coming of the DL probably means the end of Kyle Drabek.
QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 10, 2015 -> 12:47 PM)
Not really. That's a fairly pathetic lineup.
It's a lot of the same team as last year that was 5th in the league in OPS.
Not pathetic.
Dozier, Escobar, Mauer, Hunter, Vargas, Plouffe, Arcia, Suzuki, Schafer
They're better than the one run they scored in Detroit.
But no excuses. Get a win.
QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Apr 10, 2015 -> 11:42 AM)
And Rodon will be starting for Knights Saturday. Montas Sunday at B'Ham.
Really interested in seeing how Fry does at WS after so little data from last season.
Fry looked great in that spring training game. He looks like he'll be a fast mover.
Of course, I probably thought the same of Charlie Leesman five years ago.
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 10, 2015 -> 11:16 AM)
Hahn's pity signing has already started 2 of 4 games. Great.
It certainly appears they're going with a straight platoon at 3B until it clearly isn't working. Who knows...maybe it'll work.
On the surface though....after being traded for a PTBNL last August and now in the home opener lineup...it looks bad. Especially at 0-3.
Now win a game.
QUOTE (scs787 @ Apr 10, 2015 -> 10:19 AM)
This has probably been addressed elsewhere, but when is Rodon starting? I thought they'd have him matched up in line with Danks or Noesi....Also is Danish in AA?
Very excite for Adams.
Danish is pitching B'ham tomorrow night.
QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Apr 10, 2015 -> 10:20 AM)
I don't know that I'd say I am tired of seeing him already, but I must admit that I am not overly impressed yet. Seems to swing at a lot of low garbage pitches.
No. His home-schooled son that's all over the place.
I pointed it out the other day...the Angels won 96 last year--started the season 0-3 vs Seattle and got outscored 26-8.
0-3 sucks. It's not good, but the bigger picture is the 25 of 28 division games to start the season. 14-14 would be meh, but acceptable. Get after it on Friday.
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 07:32 AM)
where are the weather reports? LETS GO FLAVUM, GET ON IT
No weather problems for the rest of the week. Cleveland next week looks fine right now too.
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 10:35 PM)
This will probably be our downfall
God, I hope not. 14-14 would be so nice, and then move on with the season.
10-18, we're f***ed.
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 10:33 PM)
The sox pitchers just made mistakes tonight. They gave up 2 multi run HRs. I don't think Quintana and Putnam gave up too many last year. I rather they have a funk early then when it's too late.
25 of 28 in the division to start the season.
