  2. Pretty impressive they went 65 games without a postponement.
  3. Skip Rienzo. Keep Sale on whatever schedule he's on.
  4. Alex Rios was part of the problem. Move on.

  6. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 10:25 PM) No thanks! Let's keep winning!! Deal! Hey, I want the Sox to get hot more than anything. But do it now, not when they're 10 under.
  7. f*** it. It was a fun 60 games. Let's start losing in bunches, make some trades, and get another single digit pick next June.
  8. Alexei swinging 3-0 with Porcello on the ropes...wasn't a fan.
  9. This is refreshing. Scraping 2-3 runs is for the birds.
  10. If it comes to the Sox trading Beckham, it's going to be interesting to see what they can get back. Same with Alexei.
  11. Try to say something nice about the guy, and that's what happens?
  12. I like Noesi. He's morphing into Sweaty Freddy.
  13. Looks like tomorrow night could be a washout. Since the Tigers are already making up a bunch of games in August, I could see a doubleheader Wednesday or Thursday.
  14. This is definitely a series I'm hoping for the best, but expecting something else.

  17. I'm going to take this as a good sign. https://twitter.com/KDB_MLB/status/47601969...3815296/photo/1
  18. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 08:46 AM) Most pitchers make 32-33 starts per season. Chris Sale has made 29 (and would have been 30 if not for the idiotic bullpen demotion) and 30 starts. Are you really, really, REALLY seriously dinging him for missing those starts? And are you really dinging him for the Sox being overly cautious in his first full season as starter, a season where they lost 99 games, and a season where their expectations for competition are diminished due to the talent level on hand? Chris Sale is a motherf***ing ace. I said "if this year is the beginning"... So, no, I'm not dinging him for the other seasons.
  19. I'd like to think Aces make all of their starts most seasons. Of course Sale is one of the best pitchers in baseball, but if this year is the beginning of him missing a month here or a half season there, there would need to be a new word to describe him. He's kind of an Ace right now, but he's bordering on "freak of nature that you pray stays healthy enough to lead a staff to the playoffs, and in the playoffs". But it's just a word. Pitch every 5th day, put up the innings and quality starts, and the numbers will be there that say he's one of the best.
  20. All they had to do was go 2-4 in a more conventional way, and I'd probably be ok with it. That definitely should have been 4-2, and looking forward to the Tigers showing up.
  21. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 8, 2014 -> 05:30 PM) Cannot draft a high school arm Hawk nonsense. I'll give Hawk some due on that. All he said was it's the riskiest pick in the draft--which it is. On the other hand, you have to roll the dice sometimes, and the Astros and Marlins did it. We'll see if it pays off for them.
