  1. Beckham .365 (27-74) in his last 18 games.
  2. Danks killin' it today. Refreshing.
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 24, 2014 -> 02:38 PM) Big deal. It took about one second to correct. Didn't bother me a bit. Hawk is amazingly good compared to almost every other broadcaster in baseball. He TELLS IT LIKE IT IS with Stoney. Mistakes happen. NOBODY's PERFECT. You told me. Forgive me. Please.
  4. Just seems like a lot of media bs going on right now. 12 days.
  5. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 24, 2014 -> 02:35 PM) lol he was about to say 3 run home run. It's a 3-1 ballgame... No, grandpa. It's a ground rule double.
  6. Really? Nothing on Hawk missing that ground rule double?

  9. Sox bullpen last 32 games: 107.2 innings, 2.84 ERA Averaging 3 1/3 innings a game = not sustainable Starters need to go deeper. That's why missing your ace for 6 starts can't happen every year.
  10. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 24, 2014 -> 08:45 AM) I can see it now . Sox contending for the wild card and trading Dunn. White flag part deux , deja vu all over again. The Sox have survived the first 50 games of the season. Still in it. Let's see what the next 50 games bring, and if they're out of it on July 20, then it's time to move guys. But if they're in it, then just stand pat and see if they can win 86-88 games and hope it's enough for a wild card game. As far as Dunn, I'm glad he's actually playing like a baseball player right now. He could have 14-15 homers right now, and be having a much worse season. He's more hitterish this season, taking his walks, not striking out at a frightening pace, and actually coming through when it matters once in a while. I hope that continues the rest of the season, and maybe they can explore a 1-yr deal for 2015. He should never play on a multi-year contract ever again.
  11. http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CH...le-scores.shtml Just noticed on B-R, they notate walk off wins on the results page. Kinda cool.

Nestor Molina gives it up in the 9th. Terrible pitcher.
  13. Uh, yeah, how about a siesta tomorrow, Corner.
  14. Noesi hasn't won a game in forever. Maybe pull him now.
  15. 98 pitches. Probably let him start the 6th.
  16. Only 103 minutes for 4 innings.
  17. Erik Johnson being bad/injured/whatever is really hurting this team.

QUOTE (fathom @ May 23, 2014 -> 07:36 PM) They might as well try to make him a reliever That would be doing him a favor. Polanco homered--didn't see that coming.
  19. Late May is Viciedo's hot "time zone". Hit a bomb.

    Davidson single on 0-2.

Paulino at 98 in the first. Too bad he can't pitch.

http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20140523 Paulino vs Polanco should be interesting.
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ May 23, 2014 -> 04:04 PM) For my sanity, hopefully we get a better player than the Cubs That's a good point. It would be easier to take the Cubs ending up with a better player if the Sox were at 3, and the Cubs were at 11 or something. Them being at 4 adds to the pressure--although it shouldn't.
