QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 1, 2014 -> 08:28 AM) Of course, there's also a downside risk that both teams could fall 20 games back and the game would never be made up. Well yeah, if they got rained out in September. Probably would be a risk worth taking. Remember last year, they made one of their doubleheaders a 2 for 1. They could do that for September 12, and they probably would get some good advanced sales.

Since "Opening Week" is about to get terrible weather, wouldn't it be a good business move just to postpone the next two games now, and have doubleheaders in August and September? It's a division team. Do it.

QUOTE (Baron @ Mar 31, 2014 -> 05:44 PM) Doing that is stupid in the first place No, I'm still glad the Sox are picking before the Cubs. This year, I'd gladly see them finish with the 14th or 15th pick.

Yes, Hawk. When you play four teams 45% of the time, those teams will come back on you more than anyone.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Mar 31, 2014 -> 05:14 PM) Robin usually leaves guys in for a batter or two too long. Aces should do Ace things. I have no problem with it. I will say, Robin has a pattern of wanting the pitcher to get an ovation. (Or Coop does)

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 31, 2014 -> 05:10 PM) Hawk and Stone have been quality for once together today. How long until they are sick of each other? First 3-game losing streak?

Eaton is an old soul baseball player. Any era player.

Tommy Hunter is the Orioles closer, and he's trying to blow his first save opportunity. I'd really like to see the Red Sox lose.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 31, 2014 -> 04:49 PM) De Aza = Bryce Harper. There you go. Just based on having quality at-bats in spring, De Aza deserved it today. I'll put that in the "Good Move" column for Ventura.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 31, 2014 -> 04:34 PM) I'm surprised Abreu is still wearing #79. You usually get a much lower number when you make the team. Or maybe he likes 79. He wore 79 in Cuba. His mother chose it for him because it was unique. I just hope it doesn't mean he's really 35. I kid. I kid.

QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Mar 31, 2014 -> 04:11 PM) Hawk says he got cramp on Gillaspie's double. How can you not love this man? It's definitely love/hate. Used to love him, now I hate him.

Bunts should only be used by Eaton for a hit and late in the game for one run. How hard of a concept is this?
