  1. 2015 opening day infield-- Davidson, Semien, Johnson, Abreu. Just have to be patient.
  2. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Mar 24, 2014 -> 01:39 PM) As fathom stated regarding the Paddy and NMolina situation, if Keppinger is Hahn's biggest gaffe, I can (more than) live with that. That was me. Easy mistake.
  3. QUOTE (peppers312 @ Mar 24, 2014 -> 11:44 AM) so apparently no one is worried about Q's spring training numbers...? i think it's a good signing, but i hope Hahn didn't jump the gun a year early on this one. Apparently his release point was off, and Coop caught it. Quintana faced the minimum yesterday in 5 innings. I think he'll be ok.
  4. And think about what the Yankees gave up. How are Banuelos and Betances doing? Baseball is strange game.
  5. QUOTE (chisoxfan310 @ Mar 24, 2014 -> 11:34 AM) No that would be the pitchers. Under "left handed", it only lists Tekotte and Johnson. Probably just a off day for both. Maybe we're looking at two different things. Yes, they're both off today.
  6. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 24, 2014 -> 11:27 AM) I don't see Eaton on the line up card at all. See the names at the bottom? He's probably there, but it's cut off. Same with Dunn.
  7. Sox lineup https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/4481319...5239809/photo/1 M's lineup https://twitter.com/JesseSanchezMLB/status/...4799744/photo/1
  8. Nice deal. He needs a new number. That #62 just ain't cutting it if he's he's here for the long haul.
  9. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 24, 2014 -> 09:23 AM) Jon Heyman ‏@JonHeymanCBS 5m astros open to acquiring a 1B via trade. for now they have krauss/guzman possible platoon. dh chris carter also 1b option. Let's trade Dunn to the Astros If there is one team that he's a good fit for right now, the Astros are it. He gets to play at home, and the fans get to see some homers. But the money....it's always the money.
  10. I don't know about you, but nothing gets me more excited about opening day being a week away than a picture of Jeff Keppinger. https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/4481010...4024448/photo/1

    It's cold outside

Remember this now, but it's supposed to be in the 60's all three days in Denver in two weeks when the Sox are there. Next Monday in Chicago- a couple of showers, high 58. Wed- 53, Thursday-43
  12. I wonder if they moved on Jordan Danks early just to show other teams they'll keep De Aza unless they get what they want in a trade right now. Maybe they're trying to force some team's hands in the next week. Anyway, it's an interesting roster. It's going to be fun to see who will be here August 1st...and who won't.
  13. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 23, 2014 -> 11:29 AM) At this point, I would go with Jones, Belisario, Lindstrom, Downs, Veal, Cleto, and Webb. Let Petricka close at Charlotte. Yep, that's the bullpen. Apparently there won't be a true long reliever to start the season. I think the average team used 24 pitchers last season, so stuff always happens.
  14. https://twitter.com/CST_soxvan/status/44739...9554304/photo/1 The game vs Giants is on CSN at 3. Abreu has been scratched. Dan Black will start. Hope that ankle is ok.
  15. QUOTE (woods of ypres @ Mar 21, 2014 -> 01:39 PM) WGN? The only Sox WGN game is next Thursday at 2. This game is on CSN and MLBN. And radio.

  17. As far as we can tell, Sale, Danks, Paulino, Quintana, and Johnson all have healthy arms, and ready to go. Don't judge a damn thing about pitchers spring training in Arizona. Arizona is a terrible place for spring training competition. You set your roster before you get there, and if they stay healthy, you go north with that team.
  18. QUOTE (oldsox @ Mar 20, 2014 -> 10:40 AM) 2-3 yrs? I'll take it. He'll prob start at Kanny this year, get promoted to W-S mid season...... I know there are special cases where players have nothing left to prove at a given level. But that should be rare. Hopefully Courtney Hawkins sucking last year taught the Sox not to be in such a hurry to move guys up, especially high school draft picks. There's absolutely nothing wrong with taking a HS player and giving him a full year at each level on his way up. It would also help managing the player's expectations as they move up.
  19. Aroldis Chapman hit with a Salvador Perez liner. Carted off the field. It was the 6th inning and they decided to call the game. Scary stuff. https://twitter.com/ctrent/status/446490659659083777
  20. Rongey was talking about Gillaspie's brother a little bit on the radio. He's a large human being. Switch hitting first baseman. Off to a good start. http://www.goshockers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=205302891 I'm not sure if he's good enough for the second round, but maybe he's someone to keep an eye on.
  21. Here's Davidson's HR. http://m.mlb.com/video/v31589991/laacws-da...n-to-left-field Davidson is going to be a monster at the Cell.
  22. QUOTE (Baron @ Mar 19, 2014 -> 06:41 PM) Davidson is going to make it hard for them to send him down It's a good problem to have. Gillaspie is weird--too good to send down, but not good enough that other teams are beating down the door to trade for him.
  23. Why does Hawk keep saying Semien won two MVP's in the same season? You would think somebody could correct him when he keeps saying something wrong.
  24. Webb and Cleto instead of Boggs and Axelrod is fine with me.
  25. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Mar 19, 2014 -> 01:43 PM) So who of the remaining 38 players are on the bubble? The rotation is set. So nobody is on the bubble there. Bullpen locks if healthy--Lindstrom, Belisario, Veal, Downs, and Jones (yes, Veal is a lock) Bubble: Axelrod, Cleto, Boggs, Webb, and Petricka. Putnam and Purcey will get cut. I'm thinking Axelrod stays as a long reliever, and Cleto stays because he's out of options. Boggs is the wild card. He may just be let go, since his agreement with the Sox was that he had to make the 25-man. Webb and Petricka will get sent down, but we'll see them before too long. Position--right now, no room for Davidson, Micah Johnson, Liddi, Jordan Danks, or Tekotte. But a trade could open something up for Danks. Keppinger's injury probably means Leury Garcia goes north. Beckham's injury could help Semien make it.
