Arizona is a good place to train and get their work in, but the games don't resemble anything real. Hard infields, high skies, breaking pitches don't break. It's nice background noise, but not much else.

Royals using Ventura 3rd in the rotation means the Sox will probably miss him the first weekend. Quintana vs Guthrie for the Royals home opener Johnson vs Chen Sale vs Shields (seen that before)

The more he thinks he's making a mark on the game and the longer he stays, the better chance he has to make it in the Hall----at least in his mind.

Accuweather has 61 for opening day. 50's in Denver for week 2. We'll see if it holds.
