  1. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ May 17, 2012 -> 12:26 PM) Odd number on Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun. Could be any number on Mon/Thur when teams have off days. I think it would be a scheduling nightmare. Interleague series will be M-T-W or T-W-Thurs, and the weekend series will be F-Sa-Su. When I say it can't be two IL series, is it would leave an odd number of league opponents. 1 IL, 7 AL, 7 NL 3 IL, 6 AL, 6 NL 5 IL, 5 AL, 5 NL 7 IL, 4 AL, 4 NL 9 IL, 3 AL, 3 NL 11 IL, 2 AL, 2 NL 13 IL, 1 AL, 1 NL 15 IL What I like about interleague all season is that they can coincide with the AL counterpart. Teams can come to Chicago and play the Cubs and Sox on the same trip if the Sox are on their way out of town, and the Cubs are on their way back in. The Sox can go to Florida and play the Rays and Marlins on the same trip. Or maybe the Rays, and then up to Atlanta. There are some advantages to the new format.
  2. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ May 17, 2012 -> 12:20 PM) Next year the Astros move to the AL. 15 teams in each league would mean one would have to be off everyday. Since no one is gonna have off days on Fri, Sat, Sun because of attendance and such the only solution is to have one or two interleague matchups everday. One or three. Has to be odd. Depending on how many interleague they settle on, I hope everyone plays interleague for a week and half in June, and the rest is one at a time.
  3. QUOTE (Jake @ May 17, 2012 -> 12:17 PM) What? Did I miss something? The Astros are moving to the AL. 15/15 means interleague all year, because you can't do byes all season.
  4. QUOTE (Jake @ May 17, 2012 -> 11:37 AM) Anyone else interested in Viciedo at 3B? If he still takes ground balls there, sure, why not? Maybe Friday and Saturday, then back to LF on Sunday, and sit Dunn against Maholm. Anything to get Morel out of there is fine by me.

  6. Brett Lawrie suspended 4 games. He got off pretty easy.
  7. 2 doubles and a walk for Trayce today.

  9. Man, that really sucks. Seemed full of life.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 16, 2012 -> 09:56 AM) If he sucks, he won't be traded. He will be non-tendered I wouldn't say that's for sure. Could be a lower level minor leaguer just as a token trade, but I guess he could be non-tendered if there's no interest in him from other teams. It's not like he would get anything major in arbitration. Either way, I think it's safe to say this is his last season with the Sox unless he hits the last four months of the season and they think he's turned the corner.
  11. The way I look at Beckham now, just let him finish out the season with the big league club as his last chance with the White Sox. If he turns it around, great. If he doesn't, make a trade. Given his defense, there will probably be a few teams that would want to take a chance with him.
  12. David Holmberg gave up 9 runs, 7 earned last night. Got the win with 26 runs of support. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...visafa_hdmafa_1
  13. I have a good feeling about this Quintana feller. He may be legit. Does anyone have any info on why the Yankees let him go?

  15. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ May 15, 2012 -> 05:07 PM) I dread the "Crosstown Classic". I never refer to playing the Cubs as that, but hopefully this is the last year of playing 6 games.
  16. Hopefully Floyd can outduel Jerome Williams tomorrow night, and then it's Sale vs CJ Wilson Thursday afternoon. Take a split out there, and come home and knock around the Cubs for a few days at Wrigley. Then the Twins and Indians at the Cell. It's time for a 9-2 stretch.
  17. And today's Hawk Show has come to an end.
  18. Could have gone up 5-3 in the season series. Sox give away too many games.
  19. The Tigers probably felt they should have won last night. Looks like the Sox could be saying the same after today.
  20. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 15, 2012 -> 08:26 AM) Surprised Ryan Raburn isn't in that spot Thanks

  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 14, 2012 -> 01:43 PM) If the Sox sell, it will be at the very end of the trading deadline. They aren't going to go through all of the White Flag stuff again if they can help it, and if they do, they will want to be able to justify it. Probably, but when it comes to trading starting pitching, there's a lot of value in trading a guy that can give a contender 15-16 starts as opposed to 11 or 12.
