The only reason I would say the term "closer" is not overrated is that to many relievers seem to need a defined role mid relief, setup , closer and struggle when they have to do something out of that role.

I remember that game. A couple of my friends were getting really pissed off at me because we were supposed to go out and I wouldn't leave until the game was over. I wouldn't speak to my best friends girlfriend for two days after that because I blamed her for cursing Mussina.

No, he should be put away. So Cooper made a mistake, lets fire him, he needs the punishment. You guys are talking about firing Manuel for his mistakes, so why cant Cooper be fired for his? The union would never allow him to be fired and the most Crede could have gotten away with saying is that it was a bad call but the ump is only human. The umpires will hold a grudge if you show them up.

Well I'll be sitting out in right field for the saturday game so I might just do that. I just hope his english is good enough to understand that I'm heckling him. If not I guess I'll have to find another way to get my point across.

Unfortunatly it won't be in Chicago but in Seattle instead. I'm going to visit friends in Vancouver and we are driving down to Seattle for the weekend so I'll be at the saturday and sunday games. I'm really looking forward to seeing a couple of Sox wins.

We need to at least take 2 of 3 from the twins and put those little assclowns in their place. As for baltimore I would be quite dissapointed if we didn't win that series as well.

I was thinking the same thing. Lee seems to have the same swing as hard as you can because you might make contact approach that Deer had. If he keeps it up he will fail a lot more than he succeeds.
