Illinois always seems to find a way to lose games like this and it always pisses me off. Looking back now I was pleased with the overall game though. First tough road test at a program like UNC. Probably one of the biggest games Weber has ever coached other than the tourney. So, I can't get too disappointed. Missed free throws (from a normally good free throw shooting team), Dee Brown's struggles (that won't happen very often), and Nick Smith all can take the blame for this one. I was impressed with the other big guys (Spears & Ingram) more than Smith. They showed more toughness, especially spears, and should get more pt at least to see what they can do for extended periods of time. Powell and Williams owned. Randle looked solid at times but disappointed at others. Looking forward to see what McBride can add to this team, they're already very deep.

I like the move. Hopefully Uribe can breakout in Chicago.

I was too busy eating and playing football during thanksgiving break to worry about my fantasy b-ball team. Now I'm back with a vengeance. I guarantee a win this week.

Go Illinois and go Big Ten!!! I've been to every Big Ten Tournament so far and it's the best atmosphere for any sports event I've ever been to. Fans from 11 teams all in one place, the bands, the cheers, hell of a lot of fun. Just wish it was in Chicago every year. The drive to Indy is a little long although Conseco Fieldhouse is a pretty nice basketball arena.

Plans for realignment To take place beginning next year when the Charlotte Bobcats join the league. Bobcats go into the Eastern Conference. New Orleans moves to the West. How about that dominant Southeast Division(Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami, Orlando, and Washington)?

If you read the rules it says they only put one rivalry into the contest for each team. Florida-Georgia and Florida St.-Miami represent the 2 rivalries for those schools.

I have noticed more and more Illinois merchandise with the block I logo rather than the chief, which is a step in the right direction. However, the real issue is Chief Illiniwek himself. Why one of the top university's allows mocking of a sacred ritual and ethnic group is beyond me. This guy is dancing around for the support of an athletic team...please. Those practices were reserved for much more important things than a game. You can't really compare it to anything else. It would be like having someone dress up as a preacher and pray and preach for a win, except they would have to kill off almost all Christians first and force them to live on reservations. Then, we're supposed to feel honored that they named a sports team after us. Ridiculous. My dad graduated from U of I and he feels the same way I do on this topic.
