  1. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Mar 31, 2016 -> 04:12 PM) And yet... http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-chic...0330-story.html I blame the milder winter.
  2. QUOTE (3GamesToLove @ Mar 31, 2016 -> 07:56 AM) Len Kasper is both a) good and b)definitely has personality It's amusing how the biggest Hawk supporters always seem to compare Len Kasper in a negative light. I would be ecstatic if the Sox hired Len Kasper.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 31, 2016 -> 09:12 AM) Originally, yes. But after sitting out, he can't leave a year on the table. So now not leaving a year on the table is more important than his long term health?
  4. Found this breakdown of roads to the national title. If UNC wins, it will be the third easiest tourney run ever (by seed). Where as Villanova would have the second toughest if they win. Found it interesting that Kemba Walker UCONN had the toughest given how fluky that felt http://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/03/2016-ncaa-...y-highest-seeds
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 04:24 PM) Good for Spike. I hope he does well! Mark Snyder ‏@Mark__Snyder 1h1 hour ago Updated: Spike Albrecht transferring to finish on 'own terms', restricted from Big Ten, '16/'17 opponents http://on.freep.com/1MybhTx Didn't he quit for the sake of his long term health?
  6. QUOTE (shysocks @ Mar 30, 2016 -> 03:47 PM) In this version of the US where abortion is illegal, you'd be better off punishing the practitioners of abortions rather than the women desperate enough to seek them. I hate Trump. I'm pro-choice. But I have to ask, is there one person whose mind this quote changes? It could give him more votes from people who support other GOP candidates but won't say things like that.
  7. QUOTE (Tony @ Mar 30, 2016 -> 02:18 PM) Jake Tapper@jaketapper re: abortion TRUMP: The answer is there has to be some form of punishment. CHRIS MATTHEWS: For the woman? TRUMP: Yes So........ I guarantee you Ted Cruz thinks the exact same thing, except he is a career politician so he knows better than to say that out loud. Trump will say it, that is why he is winning the GOP nomination. (And no I don't support him, that's just an observation)
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 30, 2016 -> 01:24 PM) That is really bad. NHL Player Safety ‏@NHLPlayerSafety 4m4 minutes ago Chicago's Duncan Keith has been offered an in person hearing for high-sticking on Minnesota's Charlie Coyle. That means he can get suspended for at least 6 games, which would spill into the playoffs. And the Sun-Times is reporting Crawford may be experiencing vertigo symptoms like Bickell did last year. Ruh Roh.
  9. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 08:22 PM) That was absolutely incredible. If Keith misses a couple of games, I think we need to face the reality that the Hawks are finishing third in the division. I've been expecting that finish for a while now. In the end, 2nd and 3rd place really aren't that different. Home ice is nice but they can win without it.
  10. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 07:34 PM) How did they lose to this team? They really have to change something with their routine for road games. At least the ones in Central America and the Caribbean.
  11. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 07:28 PM) Keith with a 5 minute match penalty 10 minutes into the game. Lovely. And he'll probably get a few more games off after the league takes a look.
  12. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 01:15 PM) They're still fine with a draw, but it's absurd it's gotten to the point where this is even a talking point. We've so easily forgotten that this happened four years ago too. The loss at Jamaica, needing a last minute goal to win at Antigua. It all worked out, and they never lose at home, but this shouldn't keep happening.
  13. The interwebs are reporting that police have found out that Garret Ross was in Michigan when he sent the "revenge porn" video, so he can't be charged in Illinois. And it's only a misdemeanor, not a felony in Michigan, how convenient.
  14. QUOTE (raBBit @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 12:20 PM) The MLB doesn't test for pot. The MiLB does. If the Astros signed him to an MLB deal and in turn, added him to the 40 man roster, he wouldn't be subject to any marijuana-related penalties. I see. So his supposed marijuana addiction earned him about $10 million he may not have seen otherwise. Nice.
  15. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 09:08 AM) Singleton signed that deal because he was going to be suspended for pot in the minors. He was suspended for pot after a 2nd positive test on January 9, 2013. He signed the deal on June 2, 2014 and made his MLB debut the next day and spent the rest of the season in the majors. What am I missing here?
  16. QUOTE (raBBit @ Mar 28, 2016 -> 09:29 PM) This has to be something male related right? Blood clots in his bladder per the Twitterverse. Everything is fine now.
  17. I remember when Jon Singleton signed that very "team-friendly " deal with the Astros and got criticized for passing up so much money. Well he is back in the minors and might have been the smart one. For every Longoria or Sale, there are stories like that where signing that early deal works out much better for the player. That's why you sign it.
  18. Are the Hawks back or is Western Canada just this f***ing bad?
  19. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 09:45 PM) USA in some pretty serious trouble to qualify for the next round now. They will be heavily favored to win both home games and the vacation at St. Vincent so they should be fine. But this leaves them zero room for error.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 04:06 PM) :) Is today the best day of your life? Other than the yearly date the Cubs are eliminated from WS contention
  21. I can't think of a coach more deserving to lose like that than Wisconsin's. I never root for ND, but way to go Irish.
  22. I love road WCQ qualifiers in Central America. Always entertaining, yet hard to watch
