  1. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 05:35 PM) Wouldn't surprise me if he has a concussion. He's had concussion issues in the past. Aw man. I never even thought about it. That would totally make sense as a day-to-day injury that suddenly becomes week-to-week
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 10:18 AM) Its a bad value for a RB unless you think he's the next Marshall Faulk, which he might be. I actually think he's gone before the Bears draft. I think the Bears need to look at the secondary and LB position in the first round. Exactly, he might be that good but this roster isn't strong enough to draft a running back that high right now.
  3. Crawford still not skating and not traveling on the upcoming Western road trip. Time to start worrying yet?
  4. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 02:08 PM) Pace supposedly loves Wentz. He would take him at #11. He'll be gone though. This would shock some people but I think if Elliott is on the board, they'll probably take him depending on what else is there. Taking Elliott that high would make me lose all faith in Pace.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 11:54 AM) Some jokes just write themselves. I had to re-check my Twitter feed, I assumed it was from The Onion
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 08:13 AM) Presented without comment: E3 Meat Company ‏@E3Meat Mar 22 Take 10% off your order with code FamilyFirst10. Shop http://e3meatco.com #familyfirst When the news first broke, I had all the respect for LaRoche for being able to walk away like that. That respect has been diminishing daily when you see stuff like this. They should be embarrassed.
  7. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 23, 2016 -> 09:47 PM) Taking TCU to the middle of the Big 12 ain't exactly easy. It's easier than taking Pitt to the top of the ACC.
  8. Not to interrupt the Bulls self loathing but thought this was a very cool article about Nike losing Steph Curry to Under Armour http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/15047018...en-curry-armour
  9. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 23, 2016 -> 03:12 PM) Big Ten is a really weak conference outside of football and men's basketball. ACC provides much better competition in soccer, baseball, lacrosse and pretty much all of the women's sports. Illinois challenges the ACC in men's golf and tennis. COUNTRY CLUB U!
  10. QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Mar 23, 2016 -> 08:12 PM) He also avoids being in the same class with Adam LaRoche. Crafty veteran indeed. And Drake LaRoche. What a legendary class that will be in 2021.
  11. Forbes still uses slideshows? Do those valuations include the cost of the ballpark? Or does it depend who owns it?
  12. QUOTE (shysocks @ Mar 23, 2016 -> 02:48 PM) wtf, does he want his grand retirement tour to last two years? I think he's telling the Yankees "f*** you, you are paying me every last dollar of that contract"
  13. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Mar 22, 2016 -> 10:21 PM) Not a lot of good hockey on offense or defense. I'm not worried about the offense, but the defense looks awful. Even when they were winning games, they still had the occasional blowout loss where the defense fell apart and Corey couldn't save the day. That's my concern. But hey, two months from now I could see us looking back laughing at the game and freak out last night. Hopefully.
  14. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 22, 2016 -> 03:10 PM) Jamie Dixon leaving Pitt for TCU. I get that it's his alma mater, but that's quite a step down. Pitt alum Sean Miller not interested in leaving Arizona. Who does Pitt go after? Archie Miller, Bryce Drew, King Rice, Gregg Marshal. Someone else? On the surface it appears like a step down but I'm not so sure. The Pitt fanbase expects a lot when you will never really compete with the top dogs in the ACC. TCU has new money and facilities and you can finish in the middle of the conference without too many complaints. Pitt was a better job in the Big East IMO.
  15. I was in the car before the 3rd period started, never done that before. I was lucky enough to be at the other Stars game where they scored four in the first too. I know they have earned the benefit of the doubt and this has happened in March before and we should just enjoy this run, but wow is it starting to look ugly.
  16. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 22, 2016 -> 06:40 AM) When they arrested the Paris mastermind, there were protests and riots going vs the people making the arrest. That was scary. Guess ISIS really isn't happy they got Europe's most wanted man. Or they were worried that he would rat them out and give up info, so they sped up their plans.
  17. Rob Ford, ex-mayor of Toronto, 46
  18. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 22, 2016 -> 07:00 AM) Does anybody think that the more recent attacks in Europe are because better security has made attacks in the US more difficult, or is ISIS just targeting Europe for other reasons? A lot of the people involved with the Paris attacks were French/Belgian nationals who were born there so that would make it a lot easier for them to set up shop in Europe than in the US.
  19. Suicide blasts at American Airlines check in counter. 90 minutes later a bomb went off at a Metro station near the EU. 26 reported dead. Many of the Paris attackers were based in Brussels so they had been on high alert since then
  20. Explosions confirmed at Brussels airport, early reports of at least 13 dead. Belgian authorities captured a mastermind of the Paris attacks a few days ago and he supposedly was talking, have to think this is somehow connected.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 06:44 PM) They signed him to minor league deal for a couple of reasons, #1, they could, and #2, the 40 man roster was full at the time of his signing. It should have been obvious to all at the time of his signing that he was the leader for the job by default. I must have missed that memo, but I also thought he was done and washed up, which at second glance was a bit off.
  22. It's funny how they signed him to a minor league deal, yet he was basically given the starting job from day one without a real competition.
  23. American sports fans are suckers. I'd expect to pay over $100 for a prime playoff game, yet sports fans in Europe freak out and protest over it. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/m...MP=share_btn_tw
  24. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 08:03 AM) Tim Howard leaving Everton for Colorado effective July 8. Probably about 2-3 years too late to make a difference
  25. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Mar 20, 2016 -> 10:28 PM) For me, it's tied with the Weber time out. The seed matters a lot, as UNI was severely overachieving the entire game. As far as non-NCAA, the Spurs choke in 2013, the Bruins in 2013, the Red Wings in 2013 are all in the discussion. The Spurs one in particular. What? Those "chokes" happen every year in the NHL, they don't even register in the same stratosphere. And if you are going that rout, the 2013 Maple Leafs were a way bigger choke job than either of those teams. Biggest comeback in college hoops history! That's a lot of basketball games.
