QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 09:32 PM) We're still going to win this game going away Good to hear. Vegas knows all.
-
Remember when the Bears used to own the special teams battle?
-
I can't even count how many bad safeties the Bears have gone through since Mike Brown.

It is pretty amusing to hear Adam Schefter read Incognito's voice mail. "I want to expletive in your mouth"

QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 08:58 PM) Huge difference between 4-4 and 5-3. Plus it's a division game. If they win all 3 teams will be 5-3 overall and 2-1 in the division. Makes next week's game even bigger

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 08:42 PM) Yes but that's also with two rookies. This staff is phenomenal on that side of the ball so far. Can Trestman & Lovie be co-head coaches? Each sticks to their side of the ball.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 06:33 PM) When the QB in question is one of the biggest keys to his team's success then yeah I am. A player with a Skittles addiction and a defense hooked on Adderall help him out just a tad.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 06:16 PM) Whether you look at the skillet of Wilson or look at the stats he's absolutely in the discussion with Luck. I've seen every snap of Wilson's career and I'd say he has a stronger arm and is more accurate than Luck while Andrew is more physically imposing. I couldn't care less about the Seahawks record when evaluating qb's but Wilson is every bit as good as Luck, if not better. I haven't seen as much of Wilson and his offense may be holding him back, but I still don't see an all time great QB like I do with the other two. I have been proven to be wrong once or twice.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 06:09 PM) You seriously think the skill sets of Russell Wilson and Mark Sanchez are comparable? Are you really using team success as evidence as to how good a quarterback is?
-
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 05:49 PM) Rodgers is 5 years older so you have to keep that in mind. Rodgers is obviously better than both at the moment but Wilson absolutely belongs in the same category as Luck. Rodgers and Luck have the potential to be in the discussion of greatest QBs ever. Wilson does not. He's a great player but not on the same level as the other two.
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 05:49 PM) He was 30 seconds away from leading his team to the NFC Championship game in his rookie season and he's led his team to an 8-1 record this year with arguably one of the worst group of WRs I've ever seen. Mark Sanchez went to the AFC Championship Game in each of his first two seasons.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 04:38 PM) I was having this conversation with my roommates this week: if you could pick one player to start a franchise with, who would it be? We were basically all torn between Luck, Wilson and Rodgers. One of these things is not like the others. Wilson doesn't belong in the same conversation with the other two.

Since the catch-all was brutally executed, I guess I will post this in here. Salty was NOT offered a qualifying offer.

Sox to Make Hard Push for Granderson

Per Buster Olney, the Yankees have made a qualifying offer to Granderson -
Wow, Riley Cooper needs to send Richie Incognito a nice thank-you present.

QUOTE (ChiSoxFan05 @ Nov 3, 2013 -> 09:50 PM) Regardless of how many times he'll beat us, we'll still have had the most important victory against him. That he has to live in Detroit and we don't?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 08:59 AM) Is Beckett still under contract? If so I could certianly believe that, although I'd expect they'd still try to improve on their 5th starter depth somehow. He is for $15.75 mil. Billingsley is also due $12 million in 2014, although I have no idea what his injury status is.

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 04:29 PM) Guy I know who is close to the situation and following it predicts Cliff and Lyle to Kansas because they're offering "the most". Wink wink. No surprise to anyone. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 08:51 AM) A good source predicts that when Cliff makes his announcement, the two hats on the table will be Illinois and DePaul. WhaaaaT? Interesting none the less for Illini fans. So does this mean Illinois and DePaul upped their offers? -
QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 3, 2013 -> 03:30 PM) We had a president that put us in an unwinnable war, watched the stock market crash, and watched unemployment tank while he spent 30% of his presidency "on vacation" and you think BO will be worse than him. I understand Obama having detractors, but Greg, you maybe the most misinformed person on this board. I'm starting to see why others mock you so much. I find it silly when people complain about Bush's vacations or Obama's golfing. It's the 21st century, I'm sure the President is in constant contact with all important people. At a moment's notice, he can jump into a plane and fly to DC or wherever be needed. It's not like Bush is out on a ranch where the closest contact is a post office 5 miles away via horseback. Let them have a little time to relax their mind, I'm sure the job is a 24-hour s***show.

QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Nov 3, 2013 -> 10:50 PM) Granderson is from here guys. I don't think him being in town means anything. I knew it would spark rumors as soon as I saw him at the game. He's from here, does lots of charity work, has business interests here (50/50 among them), and it's the offseason. Why wouldn't he be in Chicago right now? -

QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Nov 3, 2013 -> 01:20 PM) The Cardinals stubbornness probably cost them a title. Doubtful Alexei makes that big of a difference and Carlos Martinez played a big part in getting them as far as they did. -

QUOTE (gatnom @ Nov 3, 2013 -> 05:50 AM) I didn't call Zook out for "recruiting" per se. Zook was absolutely abysmal at planning for the future. Recruiting is a lot more than just getting the most athletic guys to commit to your team. Most fans just look at star rankings and decide whether or not somebody is a good "recruiter." Honestly, getting guys that fit is just as important if not more so than getting the best athletes. This was an aspect that Zook failed miserably. You can't honestly look at our defense right now and tell me that Zook planned it out well. First round picks are great, but what about the 70 other scholarship players on the team? Well his recruiting dipped at the end, which explains this roster. But I would definitely choose a front loaded roster over 70 MAC players that fit like a glove. -

QUOTE (farmteam @ Nov 2, 2013 -> 11:05 PM) My favorite Big Ten team is Indiana. My second favorite Big Team is Northwestern. Today was not pleasant. It could be worse, you could be an Ohio State fan.
