QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 01:33 PM) Amazing...Turner has 9 lives! No kidding, I can't believe he gets another year. The Bolts did kind of screw themselves by breaking Cutler's thumb. They lost to the red-hot Bears, while their 3 division mates all managed victories vs. Caleb Hanie.

QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 12:26 PM) That's great news. Learn from the best. Bears should be a marquee franchise in this league, not a cute "remember Butkus, Halas, Dikta" side show. This is the first step towards organizational rehabilitation. Now to find the right GM . . . . think Scotty Bowman can scout OL talent? Maybe John Scott needs to buff up in the weight room and switch sports.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 3, 2012 -> 10:13 AM) Reggie McKenzie is a name you are going to hear a lot of. Director of Football Operations from the Packers. Oakland also might take a look at him. Brad Biggs @BradBiggs Worth wondering - would #Bears consider #Packers director of football operations Reggie McKenzie?

Glad to see that the McCaskeys didn't just play the Cutler injury card and let Angelo stay. When your QB is injured, a dropoff can be expected, but the Bears failed so miserably, someone had to pay. Just like in Indy.

It's a good thing Edmonton isn't gonna make the playoffs, cause the Hawks can't beat them this year. Pretty awful effort tonight. Carcillo's an idiot, not gonna miss him at all.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 2, 2012 -> 02:28 PM) And when he tried using that rake on leaves, he'd pull a muscle and be in rehab for 4 weeks. Or he'd get frustrated, punch the rake handle and break his hand.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jan 2, 2012 -> 02:19 PM) Amen, Dick Allen. To the rest of the world, this is the Sox dumping an all star for 2 nobodies in a salary cutting maneuver. I'd love to be KW with our fanbase. Most any trade is acceptable to many if it involves guys they've never heard of. The unknown is alluring to many. I prefer name players who have a track record. Quentin could rake. Like Adam Dunn?

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 2, 2012 -> 11:48 AM) I think the Giants will be the sleeper in the playoffs this season. Their offense is suited for any weather condition, they can run it tough with bradshaw and Jacobs, and they can throw it around with Hicks and Cruz(as well as Pascoe). And their defense has been beasting the past couple weeks. If anyone is to be feared, the Giants have to be right there with them. Their D-ends would scare everyone. Umenyiora, Tuck, and Pierre-Paul. The Chiefs showed that the way to slow down GB is to get tons of pressure on Rodgers, and those 3 guys can easily wreak havoc.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 1, 2012 -> 11:06 AM) Good luck! Thanks! 0 for 2 to start, that Jets back door cover was killer. Luckily my competition was all over the Lions as favorites. Any doubt that the Daniel Snyder & the Redskins throw bags of money at Matt Flynn & sign him?

QUOTE (greg775 @ Dec 31, 2011 -> 10:30 PM) The Sox dump yet another player I like. I'm glad for Carlos he gets to go to an area where he has a lot of history. I like the guy. When he gets hot ... he rakes big-league pitching. I think of CQ I have positive feelings. Another of my faves gone. Amazing. I do truly hate KW. Quentin is 1-19 career at PETCO Park.- Happy New Years!

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 30, 2011 -> 03:02 PM) Free SIU from Lowery Bruce Weber should be available next March- Carlos Quentin traded to Padres
The manager is not happy:- Carlos Quentin traded to Padres
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 31, 2011 -> 02:24 PM) He was going regardless. Viciedo is playing RF and KW wasn't going to pay Quentin if he was healthy. If Quentin stayed healthy, he might have been able to keep putting numbers closer to 2008. KW would have paid him for 140-150+ games of that type of production.- 2011-2012 NCAA Basketball Thread
