QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 13, 2009 -> 04:52 PM) That would be ludicrous. Knox and Bennett both would be able to play numerous downs, but TO is considerably better than either of them this year. Did TO have a problem developing with Jerry Rice? Or did perhaps Jerry Rice help TO? All I'm saying is that I doubt Lovie slows the progress of those 2 guys for TO. BTW- this is all a rumor and an idea. I highly doubt it happens. QUOTE (lostfan @ Oct 13, 2009 -> 04:51 PM) You're really going to insinuate that Owens was one of the reasons the Eagles didn't win that Super Bowl? I never questioned his toughness or work ethic after that, he basically was putting his career on the line. Also, T.O. should not cost a player and a pick. No, but he played in it, busted his a**, and they didn't win. He was supposed to be the cherry on top of Dallas winning a title, and they didn't. -

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Oct 13, 2009 -> 05:35 PM) Except he had one of the best games in Superbowl history, given the circumstances. 1. T.O. is still convinced he can get one more big deal(given he has a solid 2009). He is going to do everything is his power to put up numbers to end the season. 2. If Owens was on the Bears, he is still the Bears best WR. 3. If he somehow becomes a malcontent, whats the worst that happens? You cut him, and it was a 3 million dollar mistake. 4.Dan Marino sucks. 1. What's your point? The bottom line is that you can't get a big deal next year if you sit on the sidelines because the Bears want to get Knox and Bennett more reps to continue to develop them. 2. Yeah, and if he was on Minnesota, Baltimore, San Diego, Miami, and San Francisco, he'd also be the best WR. 3. That's true. I just think no. He isn't an elite WR anymore, and he continues to drop passes more and more. 4. I never said Marino sucks. But Marino was never on 4 different teams for the same reason- he destroys locker rooms when he stays put there for awhile. -

The Bears could trade Iglesias and a 5th- IMO that would work for both sides. Unless an injury happens to Hester, Bennett, or Knox, there's no way Iglesias sees the field in the near future (as in 2-3 years). DA is our insurance guy if one of those 3 do get hurt. However, I'd rather not. TO is not the same player, and he's going to take playing time away from Knox. You know TO isn't going to settle with sitting multiple plays out. Also, TO has never won anything. With him playing, his team has never gotten to or won a Super Bowl (he didn't play in the NFC championship game when the Eagles got to Jacksonville for the Super Bowl, but when he did play in the game, they lost). -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 13, 2009 -> 07:59 AM) Bradford Mallett McCoy Tebow Snead Locker Clausen McCoy is not a pro prospect. I'd bet he doesn't go in the first round. He's a shotgun QB 98% of the time. Clausen is a pro-style QB. If you mean what order they'll succeed, I'll change mine. If you meant in what order they will/should go in, I'm keeping mine. -
I was at the game, and wow, that was incredible. The lowest of lows to the highest of highs. This offense is ridiculous. I just wish Huet could figure it out.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 12, 2009 -> 02:59 PM) I hope Quinn tells him to try everything in his power to stay out of Cleveland. Pick your poison- Rams, Bills, or Browns? I, for one, see Tennessee beginning to win some games, so I don't think they'll have a top 10 pick. I think they'll lose to NE next week, but then they play some beatable teams. I see them finishing with 5-7 wins. Even if they win 4-5 games, that won't be good enough to take Bradford or Clausen. I don't think the Bills will take a QB. I know Edwards might not be the long term solution, but their current OL can't protect him to save their collective lives. They traded Peters and they don't even take an OT to take his spot. Also, TO will be gone, and it might not be a bad idea to take somebody like Dez Bryant with their first pick, and trade Parrish for a 4th or 5th, and go OT in the 2nd round. The Rams just flat out need to put people in seats there. -

As an SC fan, I'm a tad worried about Saturday. I'd never bet against Carroll after the Trojans lose once, because he knows 1 more loss and their season is essentially over, but still, I have a bad feeling. I'll say SC wins close: 31-27. -

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Oct 11, 2009 -> 05:44 PM) I think it's time for some of the naysayers to put Denver in the conversation for best team of the year thus far. I think I'll wait for the end of the year. They still play @ SD, SD, @ BAL, PIT, NYG, @ IND, and @ PHI. Right now, they'll finish with 10-11 wins. -

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Oct 10, 2009 -> 03:14 PM) You know what's kind of disturbing? I wouldn't mind Milton Bradley DHing and batting 5th... Usually, I might agree. But in this case, Bradley is worthless. Theriot was on 1000 the other day with Waddle and Silvy, and he was even ripping him. -

QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 9, 2009 -> 07:20 AM) always starts at the line. Not sure why some fans can't understand that simple domino effect. I'm hoping that they don't take Suh or Berry. Why can't you understand that? -

I really hope the Lions don't take Suh or Berry. That'd help them drastically improve their horrific defense instantly. -

This Suh guy from Nebraska is the real deal. He's going top 8 in all mock drafts I read, and I see why. He's a beast. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 02:51 PM) If Williams can develop into what a first-rounder should be, that'd be a huge bonus for the Bears. He and Omiyale really had nice blocks on Forte's 61 yard run. That was awesome. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 02:15 PM) Thank god they managed to sign Briggs instead of wasting money on Berrian a few years ago and didn't rely on Williams. Fixed. -

QUOTE (lostfan @ Oct 4, 2009 -> 04:20 PM) Who's b****ing, the Bears just won by 3 touchdowns. Up until halftime the b****ing was warranted. Everyone is. People are saying Roach sucks. Are you kidding? He played a great game. Who cares how many points Detroit scored? The Bears scored 24 more. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 4, 2009 -> 12:50 AM) I know Cal has looked bad, but the Trojans were impressive tonight, and as long as they win in Eugene, they will be a one-loss team come BCS decison time. Which is going to be tough. Oregon can look really good or really mediocre. Also, that game is on Halloween at Autzen, which makes it 2x as tough. -

QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 09:25 AM) Since when was anyone talking about the Monday night game that you had to come into the thread and bring your s*** opinion in? Tired of seeing all the s*** posts like this ragging on GB, we get the point, you don't think they are that good. I don't think the Bears are that good but I don't say jack s*** about them, no. What do you expect, Favre is the best player in the game and he is playing his former team. Anything beats watching ESPN hype the stupid Cowboys and their stadium, bit sick of hearing analysts talk about how good that team is and Jerry Jones and the gang. I think the Monday night game "might" be close, do I expect GB to win, no, but I would be stoked if they do, but I wasn't expecting them to win wk 1 or even lose wk 2. The game ultimately hinges on both teams offensive lines as they are not that great. Who knows, emotions can change the game, Favre I'm sure would like to beat GB and I'm sure GB would love to stick it to Favre. I think he's sick of the Favre hype... -
FWIW- Barnaby picked SJ over WAS in the finals, and Melrose picked the Hawks over PHI in the finals.
