QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 22, 2009 -> 02:09 PM) He played the second half of last season with injury, which greatly downgraded his effectiveness. I'm aware, however, that was a freak injury in Detroit. That would have lingered for any player, not just Kane.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 22, 2009 -> 09:43 AM) The only question about Kaner is his ability to stay healthy. He played all 82 games his rookie year and 80 last year. PK should be fine.

Yeah, Patrick Kane is really good at hockey. His 9 game point streak now is the 2nd longest currently. He's on pace for something like 32+ goals and 52+ assists.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 20, 2009 -> 08:39 AM) Kane has been just incredible since Toews got his concussion. The kid hit three posts, last night, not to mention his playmaking. So much for the crap about letting him walkaway after his adventures with cab drivers in the off season. He's been our best player so far. His vision and his precision on these passes lately have been insane. He's going to be worth every penny for the next 5+ years. He has to be in the MVP race, along with guys like Iginla, Craig Anderson, Heatley, and of course Crosby.

I wouldn't trade Huet. I wouldn't be comfortable with Niemi going forward. Despite having a super deep farm, the Hawks do not have a stud goalie down there. I'd trade Campbell for a guy making half of his salary then a 2nd or 3rd round pick. The guy is one of the Hawks worst players yet he's the highest paid. After the year, I'm guessing they'll be looking at dealing Versteeg, Barker, Sharp, and MAYBE Seabrook. Hjalmarsson has been a pleasant surprise and so that might put Seabs on the market.

The news on last night said they expect Keith's to be 13 years. Wow.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 17, 2009 -> 01:52 AM) Was watching the Ravens/Browns game. I know the Baltimore D is good. But the Browns owe me somethin'. I don't care what it is. I'll even take an apology. They have without question the most pathetic, deplorable, inept offense I've seen in some time. 5 offensive touchdowns in their last 15 games? I want those 3+ hours back. They've averaged 70 yards passing per game for the last 4 games. 70 yards were thrown in a quarter 37 different teams in week 10 alone. The Browns haven't had an RB run for a TD or a WR catch a TD this year, either. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 16, 2009 -> 10:39 PM) Maybe Bears should of offered a 2nd rounder for Shaun Rogers instead of Gaines Adams? Don't know Rogers contract status though. I was thinking the same thing last night. The Bears DT depth is actually very thin (Harris=mediocre, Harrison=mediocre, Idonije=who?, Gilbert=umm...?, Adams=average). It's a huge need going into the offseason, right up there with OT, OG, FS, CB, and DE. Unfortunately, they won't spend the money nor do they have any picks to fill those spots. -
Boston got the Maple Leafs 1st round pick (+ others) for Kessel, therefore, Boston will likely be getting a top 4 pick back for him.
-
Chad Cordero? He didn't even pitch last year, and he ended 2008 with a 2+ WHIP. No thanks.
-
You're spot on. The Maple Laffs are...well...laughable. They have one guy who honestly scares me (Kessel). This game might end at something like 6-0.

You know it's bad when your QB throws 5 picks and he's still the least of your worries. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 13, 2009 -> 08:56 AM) Ill take em. The are painful to watch, I think everyone knew that last night was going to be an ugly loss, we just didnt know how. I was at potbellys right before the game and there were several other bears fans and everyone had a look of concern on their faces. Alot different from the excitement several weeks ago. I can get $200 a pop on eBay. Sorry. -

QUOTE (Sonik22 @ Nov 13, 2009 -> 01:33 AM) I don't even want to go to the game next week against the Eagles. McNabb and his receivers are gonna light our secondary up all day. I can't support this team. My tickets are going straight on eBay. -

Why not just a Forte run, then a QB sneak, then a Forte run, then another QB sneak when we get inside the opponents' 3 or closer? Christ. I'm not behind the decision Cutler made, but it's not rocket science, Turner. All I heard all year is how great Cutler to Olsen will be in the redzone, and Olsen wasn't even f***ing in. -

Or...Green Bay could possibly work out a deal with St. Louis to take the top OT in the draft (Russell Okung). Maybe something like their 1st, 3rd, and Kampman for the Rams top pick? -

I'm pretty sure the Bears and Packers have the worst OL's in football, but atleast Green Bay have a 1st and a 2nd round pick to try to get younger and better there, while the Bears traded their 1st for a good reason but their 2nd for Gaines f***ing Adams. -
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Nov 6, 2009 -> 06:17 PM) Cowley was bouncing around the Jenks and Danks for Carl Crawford thing. I'm still not buying it. I heard about it but I can't find it anywhere.

Sox acquire Mark Teahen, $$$ for Getz/Fields

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 6, 2009 -> 11:56 AM) Are you kidding? The hitless wonders in the middle of the lineup cost us the playoffs, and a first round exit, not Beckham at all. I'm not saying it did. I'm saying that it might have. And if that's the case, last year was played to try young guys out, not to win. Still, we were close to making a run toward winning the division. If the plan was to move him to 2B all along, we should've stuck him there, and signed somebody to play 3B. -

In essence, they wasted a year with Beckham at 3B then. Some of his errors may have essentially cost us a chance at the playoffs, and now it's like we totally threw a season away. I hope this pays off. -
Thanks for everything JD. You had the first and last RBI's of the 2005 World Series. Good luck.

Eklund is a f***ing idiot. I don't trust a word that that guy writes. I've never seen him come up with a trade idea that actually happened.
