I will make this simple for Cutler haters. OL finally blocks (gives up 1 sack) Cutler throws 4 TD's Coincidence? Nope. -

QUOTE (kev211 @ Dec 27, 2009 -> 08:17 PM) Coming into this year ranked in the top 10 you expected more. Also I read your post wrong for some reason I thought you meant you didn't expect to be a in a January bowl and you were. Thats why I pointed out the date. I expected less. I knew they'd be ranked high after winning the Rose Bowl. I didn't expect them to finish in the top 10 but instead I expected them to finish with 3-4 losses, and they did. -
Insane.

QUOTE (kev211 @ Dec 27, 2009 -> 02:39 PM) Hahaha Ya right just like Rowand said your USC this season was a failure no matter how you sugar coat it. Yesterday was also December 26th. Wait, where did I say it was a success? All I'm saying is that when you come into the year without your 3 GREAT linebackers, 1 good linebacker, and your QB who went 5th overall and now you have a freshman, I'll take any bowl win. Like I said, coming into the year, I didn't expect to win the Pac-10 again with such a young team. As far as next year goes, I expect them to win the Pac-10. And wait again, when did I say it wasn't December 26? -

QUOTE (kev211 @ Dec 26, 2009 -> 10:59 PM) Congrats on your what was that bowl game named? victory. Going into the year with a freshman QB and no starting LB's or your first LB off the bench (all who now are starting in the NFL), I didn't expect to be back in a January bowl game. -

USC now owns the record for most bowl wins ever. Fight on. -
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Dec 26, 2009 -> 10:32 PM) I'm reading this thread from page one and I noticed a lot of you didn't want Huet to be the Hawks' goalie this season. What would you say on his performance so far this season? He's fantastic. I'm aware that Edmonton is horrible, but Huet's play has been far better than Khabibulin's so far, plus Nik is out for quite sometime.

QUOTE (Al Lopez's Ghost @ Dec 23, 2009 -> 09:35 PM) I don't know if they were the best, but they were certainly my favorite. ...and in this case, that is all that matters. -
Did ya'll hear that Kovalchuk wants a 10 year deal worth $11.3m per? The teams interested are Toronto, Philly, Boston, Calgary, and LA. Jesus, I hope he stays in the East. espn.com

QUOTE (Sec101Row1 @ Dec 24, 2009 -> 05:46 PM) If I'm not mistaken Niemi is a free agent at the end of the season . They need to clear even more salary than they thought. He'll be the only money they spend in the offseason. BTW- he's an RFA, not a UFA.

This team is good; I just have a bad feeling about the weekend vs Nashville.

Just because one is either a new follower or a long time follower of hockey, it's tough to spell names correctly or remember names. There have been plenty of the same last names. Even as a guy who has followed hockey since he was 8, I'll occasionally call Bobby Hull Brett Hull, etc.

I hope the team is focused on San Jose rather than Detroit. They need to realize that SJ is the enemy now and the team we need to beat everytime the 2 teams play, not Detroit.

This Bears offense is horrendous. Wow, Cutler is playing awful. -
Zetterberg left the game tonight vs Tampa favoring his right leg.

IIRC, being an RFA means to get him, we would have to give up a 1st or 2nd round pick. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 14, 2009 -> 07:56 PM) I bet the bears move to replace him with a true #1 this offseason. Have anybody in mind? I'm not saying Hester IS a #1, or that I condone keeping him in that spot. However, with how far they've come with him as a WR, I doubt they change it now. -

Hester will continue to be this team's #1 WR for years. Like someone said, he's a playmaker and you have to put him on the field as much as possible. Bennett has looked good at times and at times he's looked lost. Knox looks alright, but a #3 WR at best. Olsen is overrated as hell. DA looked pretty good, but how much can we bank on him? There's no way JA goes out and signs Marshall, or any big name FA's for that matter. Maybe Kevin Walter, but with all this CBA bull, all these FA's might be restricted. -
Marian Hossa is just unbelievable. The guy has the ability to put the whole team on his back. So much is made out of how he hasn't won yet and how he doesn't perform in the playoffs, yet IIRC, he was in the top 4 on Detroit last year in the playoffs in points, assists, goals, and +/-. I remember looking them up a few months ago due to an argument with a friend, and now I don't remember them exactly, but it's right around there. The guy is a stud, and I agree that he is the team's best player. I'm betting he ends the year with the most goals on the team.

The WR's don't know where to go and the OL can't block unless they snap LB's or DE's heads around with facemasks. Cutler has been calling for DA for the whole year, and he finally gets in, and has a pretty good game. What the f***, coaches? Jesus! -
QUOTE (G&T @ Dec 12, 2009 -> 12:13 PM) Since the San Jose game the Hawks have 7 out of 14 points. They have scored only 11 goals (4 in 1 game). All 3 wins have required over time (one OL). That's a struggling offense. But they have a stretch of home games coming up. Hopefully they get it together. Sure, they are damn good at home. But coming up, that stretch isn't easy. Boston, Detroit, and San Jose are all tough.
-
Terrible refs? That's no excuse. Put the f***ing thing in the net. 7 goals in 10 games or whatever it is now is inexcusable. You will not win many games with that. Atleast Huet has played well..
