  1. Even when he gets 2 hits, they're overshadowed because the stupid f*** can't get a bunt down in a big situation.
  2. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 04:51 PM) I'm excited about Dunn, Rios, and Peavy contributing. Peavy already has, but was knocked out- those three awakening at roughly the same time in addition to the rest of the guys doing what they do... On a side note, everyone has written the Twins off, but I've been worried about them. 9 GB in early June is typical AL Central winner Twins s***. They are back in the mix, and the Sox have a whole lot of games left against them. Rios was s*** today, but other than that, he's looked good lately. What a blast by Dunn. I was at the game, and usually I know when a HR is a HR; his first AB, I thought for sure that was going to get out. Humber has been a god-send. If he's not good enough to make the AS team, then I don't know who is.
  3. Some people may find expensive watches to be pointless, and that's fine. However, my mom (who passed away last December) used to collect watches and clocks. I told her that one day when I have a good job, I'll buy one. Once she passed, I knew I really had to live up to this, and like I said, I got a promotion so I can afford a really nice watch.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 06:37 PM) He's starting off with his hands up at the numbers rather than down at the hips. Changes the bat orientation, trigger mechanism, and swing plane. Did you really think I thought he was struggling because of his music?
  5. Maybe Rios has been hitting better because he got rid of that stupid walk-up song he used to have..

    Watches

Is anyone an expert on watches? I always said when I got a great job I'd buy a nice watch, and I recently got a promotion. What are the best brands? Is Movado all that? (money is no option so fire away with the best of the best)
  7. While tonight's game sucked a**, at least PK is flat out raking. If somehow this teams pulls their collective head out of their a** and makes a run at the division title, PK could be an MVP candidate. I usually disagree with Hawk, but he's right on when he says that even though he's in his late 30's, Konerko is just starting to completely figure it out at the plate. He can easily play 3-4 more years after this one.
  8. Ahh, the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat...AGAINST THE F***ING TEAM WHO'S PLAYING THE WORST BASEBALL IN THE AMERICAN LEAGUE RIGHT NOW.
  9. "You don't really have to tag him there, Chone, because it's a force out." Stone's sick of stupid players.
  10. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 09:06 PM) PH Dunn? Versus a LHP?
  11. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 01:18 PM) They beat Hernandez and Pineda. Why not Vargas? Get 'em, Gavin. Oh yeah,I forgot at the time that the answer to "Why not?" is the fact that he's a soft tossing LHP.
  12. Hawk: "The 5 worst words you can tell a guy: 'the guy has a great change-up.'" Isn't that 6, moron?
  13. Going by expectations, production, and money, is Figgins the worse player in baseball, or is Dunn?
  14. They beat Hernandez and Pineda. Why not Vargas? Get 'em, Gavin.
  15. Does Morel finish with more walks than Dunn does HR's, or am I stretching it?
  16. This makes my decision of whether to watch this or Canucks/Bruins so much easier. Watching Jackson pitch is so frustrating. I swear that I get dumber watching him throw. Danks is less frustrating to watch right now, and that's saying a lot. Speaking of which, watching Danks in person on Monday should be a lot of fun. /sarcasm
  17. Why is "Minnesota" in pink? But really, the blue you used for Detroit would've worked too.
  18. Ramirez, PK, and Santos all should be All-Stars. The chances all 3 make the team? The combined amount of Yankees and Red Sox "fans" to 1.
  19. Ozzie doesn't get fired. Dunn finishes with 21 HR's. Konerko gets to #400 (I believe he's at 378 now). Pierre continues to prove he's nothing more than a Double-A player. Viciedo gets brought up but doesn't impress. Rios never gets his average above .230. Lillibridge doesn't get to 15 HR's. Danks finishes with 10 wins. Sox win 87 games.
  20. Even with the renaissance of Lillibridge, he never actually had a chance there.
  21. Remember when Rich Hill was the savior for the Cubs and Harry from ESPN1000 made a parody about him? Yikes. IIRC, he was pitching when the whole Barrett/AJ fiasco happened.
  22. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 02:32 PM) plz STFU with that house thing You beat me to it.
  23. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 02:28 PM) Pierre could also go to the DL for weakness in his arm kinda like Mauer's weakness in his legs. I can see it on the bottom line of ESPN now: "White Sox place LF Juan Pierre on the 15 day DL (Talent)"
  24. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 02:26 PM) Any chance Rios and Pierre just decide to retire mid-season? Unfortunately, no.
