  1. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 11:47 PM) He's a second baseman playing shortstop. And doing really well at SS.
  2. Maybe I missed something, but what does Rios talk have to do with Dayan Viciedo? We need 2 separate threads- the "RIOS SUCKS" and "DUNN SUCKS A**" threads.
  3. Watching this game from 2006 is depressing. This is when the organization had high hopes of doing damage in the playoffs every year, coming off a championship. Iguchi, Pods, Dye, Crede, etc. Oh, and this is a game where Juan Pierre wasn't on the team.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 01:40 PM) Gordo out for back to back games now. Isn't it 3 straight now?
  5. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 04:34 PM) his only chance against anyone is the hanging off-speed pitch. You know, the kind from Marmol that Rios whiffed and Teahen hit to the warning track. And the 68 mph one Zambrano threw Ramirez that he hit -4 feet?
  6. Floyd was (maybe he still is) the best pitcher ever in interleague games with a minimum 10 starts, going by ERA. Well, he sucked yesterday, and even though Buehrle is 24-6 lifetime in interleague, I would guess Cubs 7-5 today.
  7. BTW, I forgot Vizcaino in terms of another arm I wouldn't mind from Atlanta and Banuelos from NY.
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 10:23 PM) I'd rather get rid of all the clowns. You know the names. I'm sure NY would love to take Pierre and Rios for Montero..
  9. FWIW, this site says no: http://baseballinstinct.com/2011/06/14/top...in-2011-76-100/ To find 1-50 and 51-75, check on the right side of the page. Sale, according to these strokes, is the only White Sock in the top 100. Also, I'm pretty sure this was updated recently. Am I the only one who thinks Viciedo is easily a top 40 prospect?
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 10:20 PM) Well that sucks, then. This isn't the f***ing NFL. Should play day games if that's the case. Drunks are going to go after kids??? f***heads. Throw them in jail. Yeah, Cubs/Sox ESPECIALLY at night is f***ing dangerous.
  11. QUOTE (kapzk @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 10:18 PM) Winning the series is still in our favor... got Mark tomorrow who's great in interleague games and Peavy on Wednesday who absolutely owns the Cubs throughout his career. Just like Floyd is great in interleague games?
  12. If the Sox continue to play poorly and are 8+ out at the deadline, would you guys be content with dealing PK? I know he probably wouldn't want to go and he's hitting like Babe f***ing Ruth, but what if they could get 2 (maybe 3) of the following 4 from Atlanta: Freeman, Minor, Delgado, Teheran? Or what about to the Yankees for a package around Montero? Also, this would probably mean dealing Danks and Buehrle as well. I'm not in favor of any of this, but I was just curious. Atlanta can really pitch but their hitting isn't all there, and NY could use him and Tex as a platoon at 1B/DH.
  13. Barry Bonds used to be my favorite player. I used to have his jerseys and all that jazz. *ducks head* My favorite players now are probably Felix Hernandez, Josh Hamilton, Ryan Braun, and Hanley Ramirez.
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 07:04 AM) I know I say this EVERY year. But if Ramirez or Escobar don't win the AL GG I will do something tragic. I'll do something that will make this board famous. What about A.Cabrera?
  15. QUOTE (hawksox13 @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 09:59 PM) This was just one terrible baseball team beating a bad baseball team. Really nothing appealing about these teams or this series if you think about it. No more significant than the Royals playing the Pirates. Except if you watched those two teams at you'd see better young talent. Chicago baseball is so depressing. Screw Ozzie, screw Floyd, screw Dunn, and screw this boring, underachieving, sleepy, pile of garbage they call the Chicago White Sox. Have a nice night. Here comes the ripping courtesy of SoxTalk.. Although, I do agree.
  16. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 09:54 PM) Hawk if Pierre's last thing he is looking for is a slider from Marmol, then he needs to retire. Juan Pierre makes the final out. Meanwhile Viciedo keeps hitting in AAA. Viciedo went 2-4 again today. 12 game hitting streak. I'd guess he's hitting about .330 now. That's not good enough! I want my LF'er to have 1 HR, 9-20 SB's, 5 errors, .250 AVG, .320 OBP! YAY!
  17. QUOTE (Bighurt52235 @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 09:55 PM) On TV the ball coming off Teahen's bat looked good, from the centerfield angle. Got my heart going a bit. x_x Same here, but then I remembered he sucks, and then it was back to reality for me.
  18. Don't they only get to pick a guy twice a week?
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 09:47 PM) How many fans showed up for this piss poor effort? 36,005
