  1. After watching the Chiefs and the Bears play the Texans, I think it's fair to say that we might have underrated the offense a bit in week 1. The fact that the o-line kept Watt and Clowney fairly quiet is pretty impressive. They were all over Alex Smith yesterday.
  2. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Sep 19, 2016 -> 09:37 AM) So I keep hearing how Mckinnon is going to be really good stepping in for AP yet Asiata got most of the carries after AP went down yesterday. What gives? Also credit to GB defense last night on gameplanning well for stuffing the run but Bradford was getting beat up out there, so maybe AP was struggling because his Oline sucks. AP hasn't had any holes to run through. If it were 2008, he might have gotten some yards. But he's no longer the same athletically. Zimmer said the injury isn't as bad as initially thought and that he should be back in a few weeks.
  3. These taunting penalties are so god damn stupid. Terrell Pryor got one for accidentally hitting Ladarius Webb with the ball when he was tossing it to the ref.
  4. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 18, 2016 -> 08:31 PM) Amari Cooper's TD getting called back and Andrew Luck giving the Broncos D 16 points sank my team this week. And then I lose AP to injury. God fantasy football sucks.
  5. In the championship for the 5th straight year. Trea Turner's carrying my offense and I get 2 Kershaw starts next week. Things are coming up Milhouse!
  6. Amari Cooper's TD getting called back and Andrew Luck giving the Broncos D 16 points sank my team this week.
  7. Chiefs offense made the Bears offense look good vs. the Texans last week.
  8. Detroit just had 2 TDs taken away on 3 straight penalties. I don't think I've ever seen that.
  9. QUOTE (harkness @ Sep 17, 2016 -> 09:11 PM) another strong outing by Gonzalez. He's been a very nice surprise. Definitely a solid #4 or #5 going into next year.

QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Sep 16, 2016 -> 12:58 PM) You're not wrong. The man is having an absolutely torrid second half, and deserves unqualified praise for it. It's kind of funny how we've always complained about the Sox not finishing well in September. Yet here we are in September and Jose Abreu is one of the hottest hitters in baseball.
  11. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 16, 2016 -> 02:48 PM) Are Sox fans allowed to say this? Aren't we(obviously nobody on this board but you get what I'm saying) in general like the biggest bandwagon fans around? Perhaps. But I don't think we see anywhere near as big of a mass fan migration as the Cubs do whenever they do well.
  12. QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Sep 16, 2016 -> 10:59 AM) Yeah, the bandwagon f***ers piss me off. They will be jumping up and down screaming how much they love the cubs and have been waiting for this. Most can't even name the manager from 2014. Nothing pisses me off more than casual Cubs fans acting like they've always cared.
  13. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Sep 16, 2016 -> 10:42 AM) PPR. I'd still take it. Decker's had 80 yards and/or a TD in his last 18 games. Fitzpatrick uses him a lot in/near the redzone.
  14. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Sep 16, 2016 -> 10:39 AM) Being offered Eric Decker for Julian Edelman. I hate when people try to sell high after a performance, but I just might take this. If it's standard that's a must-take trade.
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 11:09 PM) Watkins has lost all value. I'm so glad I traded him and DeMarco for Martin and Baldwin.
  16. Forte was ranked as an RB15-20. It's still early, but his value isn't that much lower than it was last year when he was a top 5 back before he got hurt.
  17. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 10:08 PM) Lol some of these bills decisions on 3rd and short If you know it's 4 down territory, why not just run a normal play on third?

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 07:57 PM) Is that necessarily bad? Not really. But in terms of this year, yes. He was pretty awful in the first half.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 11:01 AM) We only need him to bet the house. Please Greg, do it.
  20. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 05:12 PM) So Jeff Fisher is expected to get a 3 year extension from the Rams. How the f*** is that guy still employed let alone getting a 3 year extension? lol especially after that game in San Francisco. My god...
  21. QUOTE (hi8is @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 04:38 PM) Wow, Shields giving up 3 hits and 3 walks... No homers at the Cell with 8 strike outs in 6 innings. Against Cleveland too. Maybe he's healthy again? Those numbers sound like James Shields from 2-3 years ago.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 04:01 PM) We have to accept the fact he's one of the better hitters in the game of baseball. Maybe in the second half, but as a whole, I don't think so. Jose is a bit weird in that his seasons are somewhat inconsistent. He's one type of hitter in one half and a totally different type in the other. Take 2014 for example. He hit a lot of homers in the first half and then his HR total dipped in the second half, but he hit for a much higher average.

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 04:51 PM) I thought it was just 3 OF spots regardless of position. According to the way it's listed here: http://m.mlb.com/awards/ It seems like it's by individual positions.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 15, 2016 -> 04:01 PM) Betts won't be challenging, he'll be winning. East coast bias Betts has a good case as well. Has more DRS than Eaton, but UZR likes Eaton a bit more. I don't see why both can't win. There's 3 OF spots. Edit: are the 3 OF spots regardless of position or do they take position into account?
  25. If Shields has indeed been injured this whole time, then that might actually be good news for the Sox considering we have him for 2 more years. Maybe he's still got something left in him in case the injury isn't lingering or too serious.
