  1. What could have been a game-tying single up the middle hits off Madson and goes right to the 1B for an out.
  2. Mariners rally with 2 outs to tie it. I have no idea who some of the guys who just got hits are. Cano up. This is a great game.
  3. Cishek just gave up a 2 run RBI double with 2 outs in the 8th. Not good.
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ Oct 1, 2016 -> 08:55 PM) I hope four teams end up 88-74. Give me chaos. Tigers could have to win in four cities in four days starting tomorrow in order to play in a 5th city on Thursday. That would be insane and I'd love to see it happen.
  5. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Oct 1, 2016 -> 07:54 PM) There are rumors out there stating Kenny Williams will finally step down from his post on Monday. Can this actually be true? This needs to happen. Thanks for 2005 Kenny, but his way of running the org just does not work anymore.
  6. My preference for WC teams in the AL 1. Toronto 2. Seattle 3. Baltimore 4. Detroit
  7. lol Tigers losing to the Braves. Seattle has the chance to leapfrog Detroit and Toronto.
  8. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Sep 30, 2016 -> 09:12 AM) Anybody got FIFA 17 yet? Is there a huge difference from last years game? I usually wait a few years before buying a new FIFA unless something is really worth moving up for. It's very different. There's a new engine in place. It feels more like PES passing-wise.
  9. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Sep 30, 2016 -> 12:52 PM) Both Heyman and Rosenthal support Britton for Cy Young, but if they can justify Britton despite his lack of innings how do they both not vote for Kershaw in the NL? Especially since Kershaw actually leads the NL in fWAR despite only throwing 140 innings.
  10. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 30, 2016 -> 11:08 AM) No. As has been said earlier in this thread, Jake has been fairly mediocre as of late and I bet that'll continue in the playoffs. As far as Hendricks, same reason I thought Arrieta might have issues in last year's playoffs: he's no where near as good as he's pitched all season and at some point he's going to regress. Maybe it wont be until next year but with the extra starts in October, I'd bet on him getting hit around a bit in the playoffs. We'll obviously see. Hendricks has massively overachieved his peripherals. Sort of like Arrieta last year, but Arrieta's peripherals were elite to begin with. Hendricks' peripherals are just good. Hendricks and Lester both have extremely low BABIPs (Cubs defense is real good, so that makes sense) and very high strand rates (>83%). That doesn't mean things will change in the playoffs, but there's been a lot of good luck going for those 2 so far this year.
  11. I think Trump might have mistaken Alicia Machado for someone else when he was looking up the name on porn websites...lmao NSFW: http://www.snopes.com/alicia-machado-adult-star/
  12. Arrieta's been fairly mediocre in the second half. If you're Maddon, do you even start him game 1? Lester and Hendricks have been much more effective.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 29, 2016 -> 12:23 PM) Chelsea Janes ‏@chelsea_janes 1h1 hour ago Dusty said Nats are planning not to have Strasburg at any point in postseason so they are pleasantly surprised if they do, not disappointed. Nationals aren't in a great spot. Scherzer, Roark, Gio, and Ross isn't a bad playoff rotation, but having Scherzer and Stras back to back is just so much better.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 29, 2016 -> 12:25 PM) Arrieta blamed yesterdays loss on the catching switch. http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/cubs-br...ach-after-loss/ Maddon taking it easy like this might screw them over. You can't go into the playoffs like that. The playoffs are mostly luck and momentum. When the talent gap gets closed and it's a 5 or 7 game series, anything can happen. The team that had to fight its way over the last few weeks has a huge edge on a team that clinched a week and a half early and then decided to have a Spring Training stint in late September.
  15. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Sep 28, 2016 -> 10:02 PM) Ok, so just got offered this trade.... I trade... Matthew Stafford (I have Brady to replace him with) Isiah Crowell I get CJ Anderson or McCoy (my choice) Winston or Palmer (my choice) Should I do the trade? And for which of those players? I am leaning McCoy, because Anderson shares a bye week with Gordon, and I play a very tough opponent that week (Easy opponent during McCoys bye week), and also Winston because Palmer shares a bye week with Brady. So to avoid all that, I am thinking of going McCoy and Winston for Stafford and Crowell. Might try to ask for Bailey in exhange for Josh Brown, just to get a Cowboys player on my team. What kind of league do you play in where you can get trades like these? Damn man, I'd take that in an instant. I'd take McCoy and Palmer. You're not even gonna play Palmer anyways. Brady's good to go for the rest of the year.
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 29, 2016 -> 01:07 PM) I love my PS4 so much. Also, Madden is just on an amazing level this year. I cannot express how much better it is. It's good, but the fumbles are absolutely ridiculous. It's like the game doesn't understand that the tuck rule exists. If your QB gets hit with his arm moving forward, it's a fumble. I'm in a CFM online league with my friends and the top 6 fumblers in the league are our QBs. It's so dumb.
  17. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 27, 2016 -> 04:48 PM) They vote a week before the season ends? I thought they voted a week before the season ends for MVP and other awards. At least they used to. Maybe they changed it recently.
  18. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 27, 2016 -> 04:19 PM) I'm really hoping that Trump's buying all of the "Trump Wins!" garbage internet polls, thinks they're legit, and does not change a thing in his plan for the next debate. (he did not cite any of the real polls) Gotta love the Fox 5 San Diego poll... I'm sure /pol had their hand in some of this. Although after Trump made fun of 400 lb hackers, I'm sure some of them are turned off now.
  19. QUOTE (Ezio Auditore @ Sep 27, 2016 -> 03:53 PM) Like... you're facetious here, but this is literally what someone could have tweeted me completely unironically. Yup I've seen these before... It's straight up insulting from an intellectual standpoint. Like oh, are you sure your party's politics haven't changed in the past 150 years?
  20. With Sale struggling in his last start and Kluber coming out of his last one with an injury. I think it's safe to say that Porcello is now actually the front runner with Kluber and Sale closely behind. The voters have already voted, so any performances after the fact will be irrelevant. All 3 will finish the season with around 5 fWAR. So I don't think it'll be a travesty if any one wins over the other. Porcello's string of hot starts in September has put him within the margin of error in my opinion. Before that stretch, I thought he'd be an afterthought.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 27, 2016 -> 04:25 PM) Jordan Bastian ‏@MLBastian 10m10 minutes ago Kluber went back to Cleveland for MRI, but is headed back to Detroit to rejoin team. Might have more details tonight or tomorrow on results. Is Cleveland's entire starting rotation going to be hurt for the playoffs?
  22. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 27, 2016 -> 02:33 PM) Torn ACL right before free agency. Cross one off the Sox list Might as well crown the Cubs NL Champions.
  23. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 27, 2016 -> 11:03 AM) I'd like to hear from his campaign when it exactly was "great" so I can ask my parents or someone's grandparents how it really was. Is he talking about the 80's? Maybe it's whenever Trump grew up/made his money.
  24. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 27, 2016 -> 09:25 AM) Also what year are we trying to go back to to make America Great again? Can anyone tell me that target? If you ask some Trump supporters...whenever minorities didn't have rights.
  25. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 25, 2016 -> 06:19 PM) Corey Seager is an insta- hall of famer. He just has to play and stay healthy. Period. He's the only guy who's actually in the NL MVP conversation with Bryant this year.
