  1. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Sep 14, 2016 -> 03:55 PM) Guys I have a WR2 Logjam but with crappy receivers. My #1 is Dez who last week has left me doubting his ability to put up #1 numbers if Prescott is starting. But my #2 is a tossup between a banged up Sanu,a banged up Wheaton, Tajae Sharp, Eli Rodgers, and Michael Thomas. Any help here? If Sanu is healthy, start him. I'd go Sharp at #2, Thomas at #3, and Rogers at #4 if Wheaton still can't play.

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Sep 14, 2016 -> 04:00 PM) 7th among AL position players but 9th overall, he'd be the first White Sox player to finish in the top ten in MLB in WAR since Albert Belle in 1998. If the AL wasn't flooded with great positional players, he should be getting some top 5 MVP votes from some of the more sabermetric-inclined voters.

QUOTE (shysocks @ Sep 14, 2016 -> 03:58 PM) The best part of all is that he's answered questions about whether that power surge last year was a fluke. His offensive numbers have been nearly identical this year.

He's having the best season of any White Sox positional player in a long time. I'm talking 15 years here. Eaton currently sits at 5.8 fWAR and is projected to have around 6.2 fWAR by the end of the season. FWIW, bWAR has him slightly higher at 6 bWAR. Even if he finishes at 5.8 fWAR, it will be the highest total by any White Sox positional player since Frank Thomas's near MVP season in 2000, when he accumulated 5.9 fWAR. Most of Eaton's value comes from defense, but I don't think any of us can disagree that he's been extremely valuable defensively this year. He's currently 7th in fWAR among all American League position players. His performance this year definitely moves his talent perception up. I think before this season, most viewed Eaton as a 3-4 win player. But now I think it's safe to say he's at least a 4-5 win player worthy of all-star consideration. White Sox fWAR Leaderboard over last 25 years. Edit: Eaton's 2016 is the 12th best season by any White Sox positional player in the past 25 years. Tied with Aaron Rowand in 2004 and behind numerous Frank Thomas seasons and that one year Albert Belle hit 49 homers.
  5. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Sep 12, 2016 -> 02:27 PM) That Rams game seems like a trap game. Everyone expects the Rams D to shut SF down but man it's kinda giving me the trap game feel. Taylor is so hit and miss that I didn't keep him this season; although when he's on, he's a top 5 fantasy QB. I'm not expecting them to shut the Niners out or anything, I'm just hoping for a special teams TD or maybe a defensive TD. Anything's possible against the Niners.
  6. I'm limping into the playoffs. I've dealt with a ton of injuries on my pitching staff, but now I've got Kershaw back and some decent waiver wire pickups to keep the team going.
  7. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Sep 12, 2016 -> 04:19 PM) Man, if Q didn't have that bad start a few days ago he might have been the frontrunner. Eh, any way you spin it, I don't think you can say Quintana is a better candidate than Sale at this point. You could probably make that argument mid-season, but Q's numbers have been slipping since June. Sale's been hurt by home runs recently, which negatively affects his fWAR. He's really not that far away from either Kluber or Tanaka in fWAR to say he doesn't deserve it. But his gigantic lead in RA9-WAR is pretty telling. FWIW, he's got 6.2 RA-9 WAR while the next closest is Kluber with 5.5. Weirdly enough, bWAR, which uses RA9-WAR but adjusts for defense, has Kluber at 6.1 and Sale at 5.2. Which makes little sense to me considering Cleveland's defense is miles better than ours.
  8. Tanaka/Kluber leads in fWAR. Sale leads in RA9-WAR. Porcello really doesn't deserve to be even top 3.
  9. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Sep 12, 2016 -> 06:00 AM) I'm losing by 30 and I wouldn't be if Dez hadn't played like a bum and Keenan Allen didn't have the worst luck. I'm losing by 9 with the Rams DST to go. I can't believe I might overcome Dez Bryant giving me less than one point. Andrew Luck saved my ass.
  10. I'm gonna lose because Dez Bryant can't hold onto anything. He and AP were absolutely worthless today.
  11. Ajayi got left back in Miami by his coach. That's great news for Foster owners (not necessarily for this week though, tough matchup vs. Seattle).
  12. I was more or less forced to take CJ Anderson in my work league (last tier 2/3 RB on the board). I'm now glad I was forced to make that decision.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 9, 2016 -> 09:38 AM) Denver went headhunting all day yesterday and the refs didn't stop it once. Poor show for their concussion safety protocols I have a hard time believing Cam didn't have a concussion by the end of the night. Some of those hits were brutal. The one Stewart made on him that got cancelled out by the intentional grounding was scary.
  14. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Sep 8, 2016 -> 11:01 PM) Wait, didn't Simeon kinda suck tonight? Holy f***, calm down NBC. Yeah I didn't get the praise after the game. He wasn't awful and he played fairly well late in the game, but he probably should have gotten picked off 3 times. One of those should should have been a pick in the red zone when it should have been a fairly easy throw to a wide open TE.
  15. QUOTE (Sonik22 @ Sep 8, 2016 -> 11:30 AM) Really doesn't make any sense but it carries to 2022 as well... http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/news/y=2015/m...ed-2610611.html I get that AFC has slightly more depth than CONCACAF, but they really should have a equal amount of guaranteed spots.
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 8, 2016 -> 09:33 AM) They didn't "give" Michael the starting job. Rawls is the workhorse there. The Seahawks are already backing off the idea of limiting him week 1. Carroll said he'll be "extremely limited". I really don't think that's backing off the idea of limiting him...
  17. QUOTE (Sonik22 @ Sep 8, 2016 -> 09:19 AM) Agreed. Also, even finishing top 4 in the HEX is usually a good bet, especially this go around to qualify as the 4th place team in CONCACAF enters a playoff against the 5th place team from the Asian Football Confederation. Why the hell does CONCACAF get less guaranteed spots than the AFC?
  18. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 6, 2016 -> 08:47 PM) Pulisic is gonna be a monster in CONCACAF. Victory tonight sets up Mexico in November in Columbus. Sweet. Jozy's playing well again too. Wood + Pulisic is going to be a nice duo to have in 2018.
  19. QUOTE (zenryan @ Sep 6, 2016 -> 11:14 PM) CONMEBOL is crazy. 4.5 spots up for grabs Uruguay 16 Brazil 15 Argentina 15 Colombia 13 Ecuador 13 Paraguay 12 Chile 11 What are the odds Chile doesn't qualify?
  20. QUOTE (TRU @ Sep 6, 2016 -> 08:37 PM) The best part about fantasy football, outside of winning money, is having a rooting interest in almost every game. Im guessing your league settings, but heres what I would do QB: Matthew Stafford RB: Latavius Murray RB: Melvin Gordon WR: DeAndre Hopkins WR: Keenan Allen TE: Rob Gronkowski Flex: Eric Decker K: Cairo Santos DEF: Seattle Bench: Doug Baldwin, Sea WR Bench: Tom Brady, NE QB Bench: Giovani Bernard, Cin RB Bench: Allen Hurns, Jax WR Bench: Isaiah Crowell, Cle RB Bench: Bilal Powell, NYJ RB Bench: Dorial Green-Beckham, Phi WR Ideally, you want Latavius Murray as your RB2.. I would try to use Doug Baldwin and Allen Hurns to get Doug Martin..If he wants Keenan Allen, it needs to be for David Johnson.. Id try Keenan Allen and Doug Baldwin for David Johnson in that case.. this way, you get a high end RB1 and move Murray to RB 2, Decker can slot in just fine as your WR2 and then you can play matchups for your flex. If Spencer Ware is a free agent in your league, drop Powell and pick him up. Wow that's really receiver heavy for a non-PPR league. I would trade Allen immediately for an RB. In standard, Allen for Martin is pretty damn fair. Not so much in PPR.
  21. I don't think I've ever seen a more underwhelming field for the AL Cy Young. Sale's the biggest name of them all, but there's a good chance nobody in the group of Kluber, Sale, Quintana, and Tanaka breaks 6 fWAR. Maybe not even 5.5 fWAR. It seems like pitching is down this year compared to previous years (at least from an individual performance standpoint). Part of that might be because of the injury to Kershaw.
  22. QUOTE (raBBit @ Sep 6, 2016 -> 02:36 PM) What's everyone's take on the Titans' backfield? I have avoided it like the plague but I think as a whole, they should be very productive. Murray isn't done yet and you have to love the way Henry runs. I like Mariota, Sharpe and Walker in Tennessee though. That's a sneaky offense IMO. Walker is second to only Gronk at TE as far as I am concerned. Big fan of Jordan Reed but it should be tough to repeat his TD numbers from last year. Walker just seems like a better value vs. Reed when considering ADP. I think having Mariota helps the backs on the team. Just like how RG3 helped Morris become a productive back. The threat of the option leaves a lot of space for big backs to run through on the line. Henry's biggest critique out of the draft was that his acceleration is slow for NFL standards. But once he gets to top speed, he's hard to stop. I think having Mariota and the threat of the option should give him some space to run. Murray will be top dog though. I didn't like the fact that Murray would have to share some of his carries so I traded him for Doug Martin (yeah I know Charles Sims exists, but they're different types of backs). You also have to take into account that the Titans might be playing from behind a lot, so they may not run as much as you'd like.
  23. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Sep 6, 2016 -> 02:28 PM) No, he countered with that. I countered with Keenan Allen for Doug Martin. The 30th pick for the 26th pick. I think that's about as fair as we might get. He hasn't replied yet. That's a reasonable trade. I just traded Watkins + DeMarco Murray for Baldwin + Martin. Watkins was my third receiver and my RBs are terrible (Murray, Woodhead, Foster). I slept through the draft for this one...so the autopick made a lot of questionable decisions for me.
  24. I'm in a battle for the last playoff spot. Currently have it, but I need to win or the 5th place guy to lose. After losing Kershaw, my team went from being 9-2 in the first half to just 4-6 in the second half. He's back this Friday though, so I may get a nice boost going into the playoffs. I've won the past 4 championships, it'd be nice to get 5.
  25. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Sep 6, 2016 -> 01:10 PM) New offer is Keenan Allen for Jeremy Hill. Did you offer that? I sure as hell hope not. You can do better for Keenan Allen.
