Scherzer was also pretty awful at the end of last season. I know he had an injury, but that's usually what happens to guys nearing 40...they get hurt more often.

Yeah they need to dump one of Kelly, Graveman, and Hendriks so they can get some money to either sign a 4th OFer or 2B. I wonder how likely it is we can trade Graveman's contract for someone like Jorge Mateo.

He had negative OAA numbers in very small samples. If you get him to play 2B in a more or less full-time role, my bet is that he's gonna be at least a -5 run defender there.

That's by far the largest sample in any season he's had at 2B.

That and he was pretty awful at it when he was with Oakland in 2019.

Profar would be a nice addition, but I think he ends up getting more than Drury. He also doesn't really play 2B anymore.

I feel like once we get statcast metrics for all the minor league games, it'll be a lot easier to objectively evaluate prospects. I know Charlotte currently has a system in place, but it's only at certain minor league parks and the numbers aren't aggregated. You can only see them on a game-by-game basis.

Both of those guys have negative trade value. Hendriks is definitely a positive. There is a chance we can get both McNeil and McCann out of this. Then the money/value comes back to being similar from both sides.

Duvall probably signs for $5-6 million. If they can dump Kelly's contract they can probably get him. More likely than not, the team will have a hole at 2B to start the season.

Frazier would have made a lot of sense cause of this. He can play both positions.
