  1. Yeah Poles is lucky he's not gone along with Eberflus since he was the one who decided to keep him. Way to throw a season away.
  2. These are the types of losses you want when the season is down the drain anyhow. I'd actually be mad about this game had they won the games against Washington and Green Bay, but the team is going nowhere this year. Caleb has proven that he's pretty good when the game comes down to the final drive. That's where this year is much different than 2022, where Fields lost a lot of games late. It's not Caleb's fault the head coach keeps fucking things up. Get him fired and get better draft position for next year.
  3. Holy hell, if he doesn't get fired after that, he never will be. Caleb looked good in the 2nd half, but there are still way too many missed layups. He had Moore for a possible TD on a shallow crosser on that last set of downs and threw it in the ground well short. I know he was gonna get hit hard after he let it go, but you have to make that throw.
  4. Caleb woke up after that near season ending hit. But please slide next time.
  5. That might have been the most interesting Saturday of college football all season.
  6. Good thing that's never going to happen (the going 4-4 part, that is).
  7. I'm not sure if this is Packers players trolling or actual insight, but this is now the 2nd time the opposition has been surprised by the Bears' mismanagement at the end of the game. The last one was Washington being surprised they got 13 yards for free to set up the hail mary.
  8. Nagy and Trestman. This has been a time honored tradition for bad Bears coaches. They all p**** out and decide it's not worth risking a fumble when the field goal at 40+ yards is by no means a gimme.
  9. Remember when we were beating bad teams by 4 scores just 4 weeks ago? Something is seriously broken. They have to at least shake up the play calling on offense. Otherwise, it's gonna be 50-6 next week against Green Bay.
  10. Waldron scheming absolutely nobody open. Line hasn't even been the problem today.
  11. Caleb's gonna be running for his life.
  12. And now Williams looks like he's gonna be out for a few weeks. Great job Eberflus. You let your franchise QB get hurt in a game you were down 20 with 2 minutes left.
  13. He's had one good game so far. He looks so old and slow. Almost never open cause he's just too slow. And when he has been open, he's been dropping catchable passes.
  14. Eberflus has lost the team.
  15. That Chris Sale trade sure sucked. We got maybe 15 WAR out of it.
  16. Didn't he also hit a game-tying homer off Liam Hendriks?
  17. It could be that this is just not a great off-season for managerial openings. Only 3 openings and the one that's actually good was taken by Francona. The other 2: Marlins and Sox are both bad franchises. Chicago's obviously the bigger market and Resindorf is cheap, but not quite Marlins-level cheap. It does seem weird he turned down the Mets last year only to accept this job while he could have taken over the Texas job in a year or 2. There's gotta be something that was promised to lure him here. Because it's not like he didn't have alternatives.
  18. Rangers fans seem upset with this hire. Venable was supposed to take over for Bochy after he retires (again).
  19. Also when is the last time Merkin broke news?
  20. He coached under Maddon, Cora, and Bochy. Pretty impressive resume. Did we actually make a good hire for once?
  21. Good, cause we've all known his weakness as a coach this entire time. He gets to hide behind his defense being good, but that's where most of our cap space is allocated. It better be good. My issue with Eberflus has always been that it seemed like the players don't really respect him. His coaching style doesn't command respect and the Tyrique Stevenson thing was the straw that broke the camel's back for a lot of people.
  22. Sweat was hurt.
  23. Stevenson is nowhere near good enough to be getting away with any of the s%*# he usually pulls. His dumbass taunting penalty led to a field goal. Nevermind he's a big reason why we're all pissed off right now for tipping that pass right to Brown.
  24. That's gotta be the most heartbreaking loss since the double doink. There's a video of Stevenson going around taunting the crowd on the last play and he wasn't even paying attention to the play when the ball got snapped. He was the one who tipped the pass on the last play. You have to bench him for that and make an example out of it. It's unacceptable. There's been so many times where I've felt Eberflus isn't even running the team. There's almost no consequence for doing dumb s%*# like that.
