  1. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ May 13, 2016 -> 08:48 PM) 1968. Year of the pitcher dang right. Under 3.5 runs per game. We haven't been too far away from that the past few years.
  2. Minny beating Cleveland by 1 right now in the 8th.
  3. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ May 13, 2016 -> 08:41 PM) When was that? 1968.
  4. QUOTE (TitoMB @ May 13, 2016 -> 08:38 PM) In MLB history??? Since they've lowered the mound.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 13, 2016 -> 08:36 PM) He was still pumping out 97-98 early in the game. Eh. Some guys can still throw hard while hurt. He might just be extremely wild. Which was the case with Severino.
  6. QUOTE (TitoMB @ May 13, 2016 -> 08:33 PM) Just give him the Cy Young now. What's the point in waiting? 8-0. f***ing insane. Hawk mentioned that if he closes this one out and doesn't give up a few more runs, he'd be one of 3 to start the year 8-0 and have an ERA under 2.
  7. 2 hours later, we're in the 7th inning. I didn't think Yankees game lasted under 3 hours.
  8. Sale's evolution this year reminds me a lot of what Sabathia did to become such a dominant pitcher in 2007. Sabathia used to throw nothing but 94-97 MPH fastballs when he first came up. He was good, but not great. Then he started changing speeds on his fastballs. He'd have different variations, a lot like Chris right now.
  9. QUOTE (Scoots @ May 13, 2016 -> 07:53 PM) Yeah I heard that. How do you not know how good Rollins was? Especially as a 70 year old commentator... He said he doesn't follow the NL. But come on, if you follow baseball you know how good Jimmy Rollins was. He was the NL MVP in 2007.
  10. Hawk had to Google Jimmy Rollins to figure out how good he was.
  11. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ May 13, 2016 -> 07:45 PM) I love Sales new approach to more contact less Ks. I love the efficiency. My only fear is that one of these days, one team is gonna get lucky and get hits off him on those balls in play. But then again, I think Chris can turn it on whenever he wants and throw 96-97 to get the Ks.
  12. Another quick inning for Chris.
  13. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 13, 2016 -> 03:52 PM) I got Bulls at 2nd on my 2nd try. Got 14th every time for 10 rolls.
  14. QUOTE (MDWhiteSoxFan @ May 13, 2016 -> 07:38 PM) Did Hawk just make fun of Avi's looks? Also he looked like vintage Avi that AB. First pitch swinging I think he was talking about self confidence as a hitter, not his looks.
  15. I thought that ball was gone off the bat. Avila with some really good ABs tonight.
  16. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ May 13, 2016 -> 07:26 PM) He is out for the entire season. Doesn't mean you can't sign him.
  17. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ May 13, 2016 -> 07:22 PM) Hawk mentions TWTW. Me: rolls eyes. Oh no, not again. Plesac's been really good to have on the broadcast though.
  18. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ May 13, 2016 -> 07:22 PM) Even better, I hope they sign him because it could be a great bargain buy I'm surprised the Royals didn't even try to sign him. Or any other team for that matter.
  19. Attaboy Chris. Quick inning after going up 6. Just what the doctor ordered.
  20. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ May 13, 2016 -> 07:16 PM) In the last 30 days only Boston has scored more runs in the AL. We're 3rd in runs scored in the AL now. Pretty crazy.
  21. 4 2 out runs that inning. Right after I said Severino was starting to find it. lol
  22. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 13, 2016 -> 07:12 PM) We should pull a Noesi/Ranaudo for Severino Yankees aren't trading one of their best prospects, no matter how bad he looked tonight.
  23. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 13, 2016 -> 07:11 PM) Go look the Box Score. Not a single OBP below .300 and many above .340. Cannot remember the last time I saw that on a White Sox boxscore, early mid May or otherwise. It's pretty clear the Sox offense was on a cold spell early in the year. Now they're hot. Hopefully it stays that way. It helps that we've faced some bad pitchers recently.
  24. I know Sale's on the mound and all, but after that Texas series, no lead feels safe.
