Paraguay came back from 2-0 and drew Argentina. Argentina had a lot of good chances to go up 3-1 in the second half but couldn't finish. Martinez also subbed on Tevez and Higuain after Paraguay scored their first goal, like they wanted to go offense-heavy when they probably should have gone defensive.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Jun 13, 2015 -> 09:24 AM) I was thinking why cant Hudson do more games. I really enjoy listening to his passion and his lines he comes up with seem authentic, not something he has written down just waiting to spew out. I really enjoyed last summer listening to him on SiriusXM during the World Cup. He was usually on some morning show. Some of the stuff he says is hilarious, but I feel like he goes way too overboard with it. Even Hawk doesn't go as beserk as Hudson does sometimes.

Need this one tonight. Andriese has been pretty awful as a starter in his 3 starts. Hopefully good Danks shows up, cause bad Danks is awful.

Chile wins 2-0, Ecuador fought them step for step for a while, but Chile's talent really showed for the last half hour. Matias Fernandez decided to be an idiot and got a second yellow in stoppage time. I guess it's a good thing for Chile that their group is pretty awful and won't really need Fernandez in the group stage.

Does anyone else find Ray Hudson (analyst on beIN) extremely annoying after listening to his terrible metaphors for 5 minutes?

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 11, 2015 -> 12:28 PM) Mexico's manager has basically said he's saving some of his players (GDS, JDS, Chicharito, Vela, Guardado, Ochoa) for the Gold Cup Mexico is bringing a very good side to the Gold Cup. Not a given at all. They're not bringing Marcelo, Dante, Oscar, Lucas Moura, Ramires, Paulinho, Bernard, Hulk or Leandro Damiao. They're midfield has a lot of inexperience outside of Willian I saw Marcelo on the 35 man roster and assumed he was going to start. I guess they're going with Filipe Luis? They have Coutihno instead of Oscar, who I feel is actually just as good, if not better. Not having Hulk hurts, but I feel that as long as Brazil has Neymar, they're going places.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 11, 2015 -> 11:00 AM) The big problem with Copa always has been and always will be that the invited teams (Mexico) can't force clubs to release players. Don't know Brazil's excuse though. I don't think Brazil's really missing anyone all that important. Their starting 11 is more or less their A team: Jefferson Danilo Miranda Luiz Marcelo Willian Gustavo Elias Robinho Firmino Neymar I'm wondering why they're playing Miranda instead of Silva. With how that game against Germany went, you'd think they would put a more lax defender like Silva back there to back up David Luiz in case he goes too attack happy again. Mexico's not even bringing Dos Santos, Hernandez, Guardado, or Ochoa to Copa America.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Jun 11, 2015 -> 09:55 AM) Morris has been a nice surprise but we've seen US forwards come out looking good in their first few caps and then barely amount to anything. Copa starts tonight. Woohoo Looks like it's time for me to order beIN sports.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 05:35 PM) Either every great shooter conveniently forgot how to shoot vs. cavs or their defense is amazing right now. I'm guessing the latter. Their injuries have removed their worst defensive players and they have the one offensive player in the planet who can make an offense run with scrubs all around. It's incredible. But remember after 3 games how vulnerable dubs looked against grizz. Well, the Cavs don't have a Tony Allen they can just leave alone on defense like they did against Memphis.

A lot of the young players on the US are looking good ahead of the Gold Cup. I think if the US win the Gold Cup, they get automatic qualification for the 2018 WC.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 03:16 PM) A draw on the road against the World Champions would help out the world ranking regardless of who is or isn't playing. Yeah no doubt. US isn't playing with the first team either. A lot of the good MLS players are missing.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 02:50 PM) US 1-1 Germany at halftime. The German team is without a lot of its regulars. No Muller, Reus, Boateng, Hummels, Neuer, etc. They do have Schweinsteiger, Schurrle, and Gotze though.

2014-2015 NBA thread
QUOTE (TRU @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 02:34 PM) Dude, just stop it with your anti LeBron agenda.. Hes actually averaging 41 points per game, and hes pretty much a one man wrecking crew beating the best team from the superior West conference by himself. The Cavs offense is nothing special because its LeBron James surrounded by a bunch of nobodies and they are handling the Warriors. I was talking about the playoffs in general. There's almost no doubt the Cavs wouldn't be winning this series had Steph Curry remembered how to shoot for 7 of the last 8 quarters he's played. And while LeBron scoring 40 points a game is great, you have to realize he's doing this on 44% usage, .402 FG%, and a .494 TS%. He's scoring on volume. Even when he's dishing out 8 assists per game, his ORtg for the series is 106. Yeah, his supporting cast is bad right now, but I don't think you can call this the greatest NBA Finals performance of all time like some people are. Compare LeBron's playoff numbers this year to his playoff numbers in previous years. Not the counting numbers, but the efficiency numbers. They've been subpar this year in comparison.

2014-2015 NBA thread
LeBron's offensive efficiency this post-season's been pretty mediocre. Yeah he's putting up like 30 points a game, but his TS% is under .500. I guess a lot of that is him not having healthy Kyrie or Love. Or maybe that Miami team was just that good. If the Warriors could muster up any kind of offense the past two games, they'd be up 3-0 in this series. The Cavs offense has been nothing special.
