QUOTE (farmteam @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 11:06 AM) I want to punch him every time he's on screen. I wanted the Rock to punch him in the face in the scene where he pushed him down.

I never really liked Rachel McAdams before...but her being a badass in True Detective is hot as hell.

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 5, 2015 -> 07:01 PM) Saw a few reviews from people that saw it at Sundance, they say he steals the scenes he is in. Excited to see it, have a hunch it's going to be one of those classic comedies of the last 15 years (40 Year Old Virgin, Superbad, ect) I mean yeah, it's LeBron James. He looks like he won't have a major part in the movie, but probably will be in 4 or 5 scenes.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 5, 2015 -> 04:51 PM) I think he looks pretty funny and natural. Plus I doubt they are intending it to win him an Oscar. I've seen the extended trailer and some of his lines are actually funny. Judd Apatow's one of my favorite directors. But some of his lines along with the acting just seem awkward.

The trailers for Trainwreck are starting to become more frequent on TV and LeBron should really stick to his day job. He's not an actor and you can easily tell. A lot of his line delivery seems really awkward.

QUOTE (Boogua @ Jul 5, 2015 -> 03:35 PM) Cavs supposedly might trade for Joe Johnson. The luxury tax could be insane. Who would they trade for him?

DeAndre Jordan on the verge of signing with the Mavs. I think this really ups Joakim and Taj's trade value. The Clippers are without a center right now.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jul 2, 2015 -> 11:57 PM) Wes Matthews is signing with Dallas so the Kings have struck out there even though they offered 4/65. Almost $17 million a year for Wes Matthews? Not to mention the guy just tore his Achilles.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jul 2, 2015 -> 08:51 PM) Very surprised the Lakers are getting a 2nd interview with Aldridge as well, considering the first one went so badly. Apparently Kupchak and Byron Scott are going to be attending this one though, but uh maybe they should have ya know been at the first one, instead of the Lakers just selling how much money LA could make on outside endorsements as their main pitch? I couldn't see Bosh and Aldridge co-existing in Miami either, I think Phoenix is the wild-card team, they dumped salary to Detroit, so they have the cap room now. Bosh would have to play like a 3. While that's fine offensively, I don't think it'd workout so well on the other end.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 2, 2015 -> 04:39 PM) Wow. Quite the turn of events. If he chooses them, Riley solidifies himself as a true GOAT and the favorites in the East. Dragic Winslow Bosh LMA Whiteside That's absurd. Yeah I wouldn't go that far...

Riley is meeting with Aldridge tonight. I'm not sure how they can work it out salary-wise if Portland doesn't want a S&T.

I would really like Beverley or Lin as the backup PG. Both have a lot of suitors though and the Bulls can only pay the taxpayer's MLE.

Knicks aren't gonna get anyone worthwhile. Remember when Knicks fans thought they could actually get somebody like Marc Gasol this year and start their rebuild back into relevance? LOL

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jul 1, 2015 -> 03:17 PM) That Thompson deal is silly to me. He's not close to a max caliber player and can't really play more than about 25 minutes for them. Why not just wait for an offer sheet and match it? I doubt anyone else offers more than 4-50. I know the cap is going up, but they can't afford to throw away any bit of flexibility. On the plus side, they're over the cap anyways, which means 90% of the damage is to Gilbert's wallet. He seems like kinda a dick anyways, so whatever. Pretty sure Thompson also has the same agent as LeBron, so it will keep him happy. Thompson should get $10 million a year at most. But then again Amir Johnson just got $12 million a year from Boston. I think those two are similar players.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 1, 2015 -> 02:50 PM) Cavs just entered cap hell. But they're gonna be soooo good. Though if Derrick takes well to Hoiberg, minutes are managed better and Niko, Snell and McDermott all improve there's no reason the Bulls can't compete. They're the same team they were in the second half of last year... And while that was really good, I still don't think they'd be the best team in the NBA if the Spurs get Aldridge.

Thompson rumored to be getting a 5 year $80 million deal from the Cavs. Cavs are gonna pay their 2 power forwards nearly $40 million next year. That's almost 2/3 of the cap.

Jimmy Butler needs a movie to be made about him someday. He's gone from homeless as a teenager to an NBA All-Star. Now he's getting paid $95 million. Great rags to riches story.
