  1. QUOTE (fathom @ May 16, 2015 -> 10:19 PM) Hell of a performance by Danks. Really like how Sox had two different 2 out rallies, and he shut the door the next inning. He hasn't faced great offenses the past two starts, but this is really encouraging. He's the definitive 5th starter right now. And you'll take this kind of performance from your #5 every time.
  2. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ May 16, 2015 -> 10:17 PM) Did Rowand just say that Crisp needs to get laid? lol He needs a slump buster.
  3. It might be close to the end of the line for Danks. Have that bullpen ready. This game could be tied real fast with a tired Danks out there.
  4. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 16, 2015 -> 10:16 PM) Can we keep Aaron Rowand in the booth? I actually really enjoy listening to what he has to say. It would be good to get a younger guy in there Only if we keep winning.
  5. I found it weird that he was giving what seemed like scouting reports on pitchers he's probably never faced. It's like he was reading it straight off a piece of paper, but he made it sound like he's actually faced the guy before.
  6. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 16, 2015 -> 10:08 PM) If Eaton and Melky can get on Sox can score in bunches. It looks like the top 5 in the lineup are hitting right now. Anytime that's the case, your offense should look good.
  7. Do we have Robertson today?
  8. Melky's had a couple of lucky bloops. Works for me!
  9. I still don't get why Garcia didn't go to second on that wild pitch.
  10. Gideon Zelalem is going to play for the USMNT. He made the switch a few days ago. He's got 3 years to develop for Russia 2018. We really need a player of his potential in the midfield. Some say his potential is Pogba-lite. If that's the case, he'll be a huge part of the 2018 WC for the US.
  11. The Warriors are the only hope for LeBron not to win a championship this year.
  12. QUOTE (Jake @ May 16, 2015 -> 12:45 AM) I knew he looked familiar With his numbers this year, you'd think he's taking what Giambi took.
  13. QUOTE (raBBit @ May 16, 2015 -> 12:46 AM) If his hand hit it he would have been out. He just had a bad play all around. I know. I meant he didn't want to possibly run too much and get winded. He's not in the greatest of shape.
  14. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 16, 2015 -> 12:45 AM) Sox and Cubs both win today in inexplicable fashion. Crisp was hitting .031 and only one hit on the season. Now he has two... I hope nothing's actually wrong with Robertson. He pitched a lot in Milwaukee, but you'd think he would have been able to pitch today with the day off we got yesterday.
  15. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ May 16, 2015 -> 12:44 AM) Lost my feed, what happened? Crisp doubled to LCF gap with Vogt on first. Eaton hits Alexei with a good cut. Alexei throws home, but Jose cuts it and gets Vogt caught between third and home. Run down was easy, Sox win.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ May 16, 2015 -> 12:44 AM) If there was ever a place where a rundown would get botched, it's in Oakland. Instead, Eaton/Alexei/Abreu handled that perfectly Great job by Jose to cut it off. You never know if that ball takes a weird hop on its way to Soto.
  17. QUOTE (raBBit @ May 16, 2015 -> 12:44 AM) What a retard lol Maybe he wanted to save himself from running too much with a interference call?
  18. lmao Vogt tried to hit the ball with his hand when Gordon threw to Soto.
  19. Wow we got lucky.
  20. We had a day off yesterday, no way Robertson needs today off unless something is seriously wrong.
  21. What the hell is Robin doing?
  22. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 15, 2015 -> 03:46 PM) Noah/Butler/Rose and Taj basically have to teach him Thibs' system, which is now widely used in the NBA. Get an offensive minded guy but keep the defensive principles and they should be ok. Here's the other problem: Noah. I mean, he's like Jaylan Tate on Illinois. It becomes a 4 on 5 game on the offensive side. He's a non-threat, and that kills their offense. You gotta hope that's all based on injuries and not his body falling apart. My hope is that they can trade Thibs and maybe Taj for Orlando's 1st round pick. Maybe you get lucky and that pick is in the 3-5 range and you can grab a small forward. Thibs and Taj for Tobias Harris.
  23. It's rained for almost two straight weeks in Austin (almost unheard of). I haven't played a game since last Thursday.
  24. As someone who doesn't watch a lot of college ball, especially Iowa State basketball, I didn't know a whole lot about Hoiberg as a coach. But this is about the most positive article I've seen on him: http://www.denverstiffs.com/2015/3/6/81602...at-fred-hoiberg I like the fact he's a new-school analytics type of coach. He also seems like a really good player's coach. But I'm not sure how well that'll fly in the NBA. And while Iowa State doesn't have a ton of great blue-chip recruits, he did have NBA-level talent players on his teams during his tenure. Although it sounds like he took talented, but troubled prospects and straightened them out one way or another.
  25. QUOTE (3GamesToLove @ May 15, 2015 -> 02:19 PM) Nope, beIN has both English and Spanish rights. It's like $10 to get that channel on U-Verse. Maybe it'll be worth it.
