  1. QUOTE (aryzner @ May 11, 2016 -> 02:09 PM) Farmer and DJ both said he definitely was hit by that pitch. Was he? I think it did, but there wasn't enough video evidence to really overturn it. It's a hard one to challenge to begin with.
  2. I'll take the double over the HBP.
  3. Ugh we never win challenges.
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 11, 2016 -> 02:07 PM) Since two games ago? Was the case last night too outside of his hit.
  5. I guess we're reviewing a hit by pitch?
  6. QUOTE (shysocks @ May 11, 2016 -> 02:05 PM) There's yer lead Mat. I don't see it holding up against this Rangers team.
  7. Avi's reverting to his weak contact ways. Uh oh.
  8. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ May 11, 2016 -> 02:03 PM) I want Ian Desmond to go back to the NL. I'd take Ian Desmond for $8 million right about now.
  9. QUOTE (mmmmmbeeer @ May 11, 2016 -> 02:02 PM) The Rangers can just flat out rake. You can't let them smell blood. These guys hit in bunches.
  10. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ May 11, 2016 -> 02:00 PM) That could have been alot worse. Texas catchers have been killing us this series. They probably have one of the worst catching corps in the league too. So frustrating.
  11. Frazier's on fire.
  12. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 11, 2016 -> 01:57 PM) Why does he kill us? Cause we're throwing him s***ty off-speed pitches.
  13. Inning turned around when Latos let Bobby Wilson get a hit off him on 0-2.
  14. I hate Ian Desmond.
  15. We've been able to get Odor out with guys on base, but not anyone else apparently.
  16. Latos hung a change.
  17. Jackson bails out the Saladino and Eaton.
  18. We basically got a free run and gave it away.
  19. Wow just terrible.
  20. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 11, 2016 -> 01:40 PM) Navarro deserved that bad throw Hamels should have realized who was running.
  21. QUOTE (bmags @ May 11, 2016 -> 11:28 AM) It's funny because ahead of a series, we all say "this will be a togh series, I'll be happy with 1-2". And then the two losses happen and immediately its OMG ITS OVER WEREDEAAAAD Had yesterday's game been closer and not a 5 run lead in the 8th inning, the loss wouldn't have stung as much. It's fine to look at games in a retrospective way, but when you're up 5 in the 8th inning and about to win another series, having it slip away because the manager wasn't prepared is maddening. Yeah I would have been okay with winning 1 of 3 in Arlington, but not when we've already won the first one and were 6 outs away from winning the second one.
  22. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 11, 2016 -> 11:20 AM) And I'm still trying to figure out what Austin Jackson did that was so egregious. It wasn't like Sands' play the night before. It might have been a slight misread and it almost felt like he wasn't tracking it....that it either carried a lot better than he expected to the deepest part of the park OR he drifted too much with it instead of sprinting across like that amazing basket catch over the weekend where he had a 96% route accuracy and was going at almost 20 MPH. Watching it on video a bunch of times, it just feels like he wasn't quite running all out and misjudged it a hair, but, once again, that ball was crushed by Desmond and certainly not close to an error. It's probably one that he catches 7 or 8 times out of 10, though. He had time to keep running for that ball. I think he misjudged it a little bit.
  23. QUOTE (Tex @ May 11, 2016 -> 10:49 AM) Based on the really small number of calls that are even questioned, including very close plays, I would say it proves the umps are very good. If one in a few hundred gets questioned, that's very good even if it gets overruled. When they are talking an inch off the plate I wonder how far off the plate the graphic shows. We are being fed an enhanced view for entertainment. I wonder how exact they are actually able to detect. Even if umpires are right 95% of the time on pitch calls, do you realize how many missed calls that is? Over the course of one game, that's at least 10 missed calls. Over the course of one night with a full slate of games, that's 150 missed calls. Over the course of a whole season, that's ~24,000 missed calls.
  24. Just gonna leave this here.
