  1. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 02:50 PM) This is hardly a worthwhile complaint. If he had walked those guys, you wouldn't be saying the same thing. He just came off a start where he couldn't make it out of the first because of bad control. It's a concern with him.
  2. QUOTE (Scoots @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 02:45 PM) He only has 1 walk today He got to a full count to 2 guys in the 5th. I'd like to see him nibble a bit less. He has the stuff to get away with a mistake or two.
  3. Rodon still really prone to falling behind and walking guys.

    QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 06:28 PM) 2nd - out of zone swing% 8th - in zone swing% 3rd - total swing% 3rd - wiff% Basically he's swinging at everything, this tends to happen when you have no clue what you're doing at the plate and guess on every pitch. And on a semi-related note: Khris Davis has been unbelievably bad this year, his contact rates are significantly worse than any other qualified hitter. I know there was some mention of him in the offseason. After what I saw from Davis in the first series, I didn't want anything to do with him. Dude goes up there trying to jack everything out of the park. It's a terrible approach.
  5. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 12:07 AM) I finally moved Arrieta. After we AGREED upon this deal (Arrieta + Corey Seager for Syndergaard, Kinsler, and Addison Russell), he kept waffling back and forth for days, not giving me an answer or randomly changing his mind back and forth, we eventually settled on this... I trade: SP Jake Arrieta SP Michael Wacha OF Colby Rasmus (picked him up waivers this week) I receive: SP Noah Syndergaard 2B Ian Kinsler 1B Joey Votto No idea why this guy decided to "throw in" Votto. I never even brought him up, as I ASSUMED he would be untouchable (Depsite a poor start). Really excited about adding Kinsler as Kolten Wong has been atrocious for me. Rasmus has been great, but I JUST got him and 4 of his 5 HR have come in 2 games, so I am banking on a couple hot games inflating his totals. Syndergaard is a step-down, but maybe not that much if he keeps racking up the Ks, and Arrieta doesn't. Really didn't want to lose Wacha, but if Votto rebounds at all, and Kinsler keeps being a top 2 2B in baseball, I will have come out very very good in this deal, I believe. That's a great trade for you. I can't believe he'd just throw in Votto.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 10:31 PM) Raburn dominating again this year. I don't get why no one went after him harder. Raburn in Colorado should result in some good numbers...especially if he plays against the White Sox lol
  7. I think the Cubs just need to be careful with Arrieta's workload. He got overworked last year and was less effective in the playoffs. If they're going to cruise to a division title, there's no reason for him to throw 250 innings again.
  8. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 04:22 PM) Sigh, a few more feet and then there's a rush of "We don't win this type of game last year" comments. A bit more wind or some wheaties could have resulted in a win.
  9. If only we can hit like we hit in the 9th every other inning. There was actually a sense of urgency late in the game that was completely missing for the first 7-8 innings.
  10. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 03:59 PM) f*** I thought that was gone off the bat That's been the story so far for Jackson this year. Ball looks good off the bat but doesn't go.
  11. Come on AJax. You're due.
  12. Lawrie up with tying run on first.
  13. AND that run Duke gave up is going to cost us the game...
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 03:35 PM) His pitching makes my soul hurt #familyfirst
  15. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 03:23 PM) Moar runs please. Politeness counts. Offense pls pls pls!!!!
  16. How many lazy pop ups are we going to hit?
  17. If you would have told me Danks would only give up 2 runs over 6, I'd say we'd be up at least 5-2.
  18. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 02:54 PM) The Angels offense is just as bad as the Sox lol They just happen to have Mike Trout.
  19. Weaver gave up one run to the Rangers over 6 in his first start of the year...so there's that.
