  1. Need to get to Weaver early.
  2. Danks clearly doesn't trust his stuff right now. He's nibbling and trying to hit the corners, but the control is off.
  3. Weaver's throwing an 81 MPH fastball. Even Buehrle threw the ball faster than that last year. If you're not a knuckleballer, throwing 81 in the big leagues will get you crushed just about every start. If the Sox don't score a decent amount off Weaver today, then the offense is in worse shape than I thought. Gotta be able to tag a pitcher like this.
  4. QUOTE (Dunt @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 04:46 PM) Hit Weaver hard tomorrow, dude is dunzo I feel like any of our hitters who have been behind on the fastball should have a field day tomorrow. Same could be said for the Angels though haha Edit: nevermind...Weaver's barely averaging 80 MPH on his fastball this year. I'm not sure how he's still pitching in the Majors.
  5. Please sign Norman
  6. Jerry Sands should not play 1B anymore. Especially not in close games like this. DH him or play him in the OF if you're down to your 5th OFer.
  7. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 04:00 PM) Fastball at 92, change up at 73-75. Wow Almost a 20 MPH difference. When you only throw 92 as reliever, you better have some great secondary pitches.
  8. That throw was a bit nerve wracking after the error.
  9. Ah the curse of the game thread ovation... 1. Home run first time up 2. Gets applauded by game thread 3. Go 0-fer for rest of game
  10. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 03:17 PM) Strange that Richards is still in. A good offense would have tagged him for 5 runs by now.
  11. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 03:14 PM) Bring him back out there for 8. Give Albers and Jones the day off after going yesterday. Yeah try to see if he can get through it. I know he got hit hard around 100 pitch mark against the Rays, but today might be different.
  12. It should be 4-0 right now...
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 02:59 PM) 2006 Crede was pretty good. His back screwed up his last month but he would have been GG like, 30 homers .300 avg. 100 RBI. He did hit 30 homers that year.
  14. QUOTE (shysocks @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 02:57 PM) Frazier's wiliness nothing new. I've linked this piece before, maybe multiple times, but it's so good. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/how-did-tod...ll-those-bases/ He's deceptively fast haha
  15. QUOTE (Blackout Friday @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 02:52 PM) I've been thinking of comps for Frazier, and I think 2006 Crede is an ideal/realistic upside. He's way stronger than Crede. 2006 Crede was pretty much prime Joe Crede. Prime Todd Frazier is gonna hit 35 bombs. That's like hitting 40-45 back in 2006. Crede's the better defender though.
  16. QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 02:49 PM) Is it raining on the south side? Cubs game was delayed. Cubs are in St. Louis.
  17. When Chris Sale wants you to make weak contact, he makes you make weak contact. It's amazing how efficient he's been the past two starts. I'd like to see more Ks, but if he starts throwing 7-8 inning outings, I'm fine with it.
  18. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 02:44 PM) I guess I now know why gamethreads focus on the negative. Avila is toast, since that conversation a double and threw out a guy. After the Saladino lovefest, 2 ks. Sounds about right.
  19. 60 pitches for Sale through 4. He's looking to go 7-8 innings at this rate.
  20. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 01:58 PM) Saladino needs to play until he proves he's not good. I kinda think he might be good. He showed a lot of what he has to offer last year. He might be a league average SS in the end, mostly due to his defense. I don't think he's a good enough hitter though.
  21. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 01:52 PM) I think we should have kept Soto I would have kept Soto and signed Navarro.
  22. First K is on 3 pitches. Talk about efficiency.
