I feel like tonight's game is pretty damn important in determining the future of this Bears team. If McCown plays as well as he did last week, I think that says a lot about Trestman's system, which could result in the Bears not signing Cutler and drafting a QB in the first round next year. If McCown plays like crap, then you can bet Cutler's coming back next year.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 06:51 PM) So rumor is that Cubs and DBacks have discussed a Jeff Samardzija trade. Head over to the MLBTR discussion for some hilarious trade offers from Cubs fans. Here is an ACTUAL comment some one posted. And this part is after he said that the Cubs should trade Samardzija because he isn't so good.... "An offer of Skaggs, Holmberg, Eaton/Pollock, Spruilli and some relievers can make it."  Skaggs is probably better than Samardzija right now.

Sports Teams, a Weird Little Society
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 04:02 PM) During my last baseball playing experience, I was the Loaf. It was the summer after freshman year and my family was in the process of packing up to move out of town. I played 2B and was basically a backup. Between innings of games you didn't play, you had to run poles from the dugout to the foul pole. We had practices every day, but my coach basically just hit us grounders, let us hit quick, and we were done within an hour. I missed a doubleheader that he supposedly told me I was supposed to go to but I had no idea (because rather than having a list, he lined us up and, from a distance, pointed and said "You're going/not going, eh, no you're not going/going, eh, nevermind you are going/not going") and he made me run 28 poles, 1 for each half inning I missed. I ran 20 of them and called it good. I'd play once every 3 games or so and just generally could not get in a groove. Finally, I have a game I get in and I've played fairly well up to this point (meaning I haven't screwed up). There's a grounder to short, I cover 2B and go to fire to 1B to turn it, and this dude is still standing up coming into the base. My coach yells "Throw it anyways!" so he's mad at me for not throwing it. Runners on the corners now, 1 down, and he calls a bunt play...which we've practiced like 3 times 2 months prior...and I mess it up simply because I have no idea what's going on. I cover 2B when I was supposed to cover 1B. Everyone's safe. They score like 4 more runs. He comes up to me between innings and says "You're out. Go hit, and then you're out." I went up to the plate and singled to left, stole second on the second pitch, advanced to third on a ground ball, and scored on a wild pitch. I think it's pretty heady baseball and grab my stuff to take the field. He comes up to me and says "no, you're still out. Go run your pole." I'd had it by that point, didn't run my pole, and basically said "f*** it." Took my jersey and belt off. He approached me the next inning and said "Why aren't you running your poles?" I just looked him in the eyes, tears running out of mine, and said "I can't take this bulls***. I quit." That hit me right in the feels wite. Right in the feels. Was this high school or college?

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 08:51 AM) I thought the officials screwed up all weekend. I understand that the TJ Graham play in the Bills-Chiefs game was a fumble. I have no problem with that. But when Marquise Goodwin goes down the field, catches and controls the ball against his helmet without it ever touching the ground, and then lose it after he's been tackled/downed and you call it incomplete, I'm going to be upset. All I saw all week were terrible calls made by the officials. Yeah it's awful. If you're already down and you don't voluntarily throw the ball away like Calvin Johnson did 3 years ago, you're down and it should be a catch. How is it fair if the defender just decides to rip the ball away after you're already down?

QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 09:35 AM) Nothing like not even getting to enjoy your 200 yard 3Td performance from Hilton because you went up against Nick Foles and Andre Johnson. Ouch. Those two combined for 90 points alone. Probably 100+ in a PPR league.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 3, 2013 -> 11:21 PM) Thanks for the link. This type of stuff in a NFL environment is always interesting to me. Making rookies do s*** during training camp and hazing them is one thing. But to make them pay for $30,000 dinners when they make $400,000 a year is just cruel. And the fact that grown men are bullying other grown men while they play a professional sport is ridiculous. Grow up already.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 3, 2013 -> 11:23 PM) Keenum is definitely the starter from here on out, Schaub is like the perfect back up though, that's of course if he's willing to do it(this year he'll have no choice). Keenum looked really good against a pretty good Colts defense. He also looked good against the Chiefs last week. There's a bit of Tony Romo in him.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 2, 2013 -> 11:20 PM) Do you have to pick teams? My kinda sorta roommate ordered the whole package so when I'm at the apartment on weekends, basketball all day which is awesome. I didn't feel like paying $200 for the whole thing. I paid $130 to pick 5 teams since I really only care about the Bulls.
