  1. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 5, 2013 -> 10:38 AM) Locker or Foles as a replacement for Rodgers? lol the guy who threw 7 TDs last week? Watch Locker throw 3 TDs and run for 2 this week while Foles gets hurt again.
  2. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Nov 5, 2013 -> 10:37 AM) I'm sure you'll be able to do stuff like that on Android/iOS soon, too. Until it works on the fire across the board, it's kind of a half assed implementation. I'd recommend the Nexus...why use a fork of Android when you can use the real thing? I see nothing the Fire offers over the Nexus, other than a broken experience. You can still use Kindle on the Nexus, so I see no compelling reason to use a Fire...ever. Only reasons I'd see are Amazon Instant Video and simplicity of the Fire UI. Other than that, it really doesn't have any advantages.
  3. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Nov 5, 2013 -> 10:36 AM) I am still not used to these "Bizarro-Bears," but that game was entertaining as hell, and the guys in the cheese grater hats were f***in' awesome. I must say, however, that I have been watching this team since Abe Gibron was coach, and I have never seen a more pathetic collection of safeties. They are embarrassing. Wright can't tackle and Conte runs away whenever he sees somebody bigger than him approaching.
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 5, 2013 -> 10:29 AM) Then Nexus is probably better. The Fire IMO is good for "older folks" and parents who want their kids to have a limited browsing experience. The rest of us most likely need more. I bought the Fire for my 10 year old brother last year solely based on the feature that limited what kids could do on the device and how long they could use it so that my parents wouldn't have to stress over controlling him over his tablet use. Turns out it only works for apps installed from Amazon and not side-loaded ones. If done right, that feature alone would sell a ton of Kindle Fires and I guess for most people, it does the job fine.
  5. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Nov 5, 2013 -> 10:24 AM) Really the only "investment" she has in Amazon is a few books. Yeah, I'd say go with the Nexus 7 then.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 5, 2013 -> 10:19 AM) He looks so much better than his college buddies Ingram & Richardson. Lacy is what Richardson should be/have been.
  7. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 5, 2013 -> 10:16 AM) Its limited but for alot of people its a perfect fit because they kind of want that Amazon/Kindle experience. The Fire is a really nice device. That's what I'm saying. If you're heavily invested in Amazon services, then go for it. That's literally what the Fire is built for. However, as someone who has around 200 apps from the Play Store, it was an awful experience for me. There's always the option of rooting and installing a custom ROM on it though.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 5, 2013 -> 10:09 AM) Would the Bears have won if both Rodgers and Cutler had played? No idea. Probably not.
  9. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 5, 2013 -> 10:07 AM) I now have to watch Seneca Wallace play QB for the next three or four weeks. That being said, Eddie Lacy is sick. He had over 97 yards rushing after contact. Brandon Jacobs also ran over the Bears defense. Don't get TOO excited. Lacy's good, but not 120 yards a game and 100 yards after contact good.
  10. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Nov 5, 2013 -> 10:05 AM) My wife wants a Kindle Fire for Christmas. I can get the Fire HD for 169.00. Or, the Fire HDX for 229. But, for $229 I could get a Nexus 7. Thoughts? My wife has an Android phone, so i think it might make sense to go with the Nexus (unless I go cheap and get the Fire HD) The Fire line has good hardware, but Amazon's fork of Android really deviates from...well...Android. There's no Play Store, so all the apps you bought on your Android phone don't carry over. You can side-load Android apps from the Play Store, but it's a hassle and not everything is compatible. The selection on the Amazon App Store is also limited compared to the Google Play Store. If you're heavily invested in Amazon stuff, then the Kindle's not that bad. If you're heavily invested in Google services, the Fire would be an awful buy compared to the new Nexus 7. I own one and it's a great device.
  11. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 11:54 PM) Trestman knows how to coach. If jay is not back next week and the bears win, things will get interesting. That last drive was amazing. Decamillis sucks. At this point, I don't want Jay to rush back. It doesn't help the team and it does him no good.
  12. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 11:46 PM) Your post made me think about this...is GB radio tomorrow going to be filled with meatballs talking about how Rodgers was just standing around, wasn't on headset helping out Seneca, but the devil himself, Jay Cutler, was? I was imagining the backlash with idiots on radio here if the roles were reversed. No, because people actually like Aaron Rodgers. There's a lot of people who hate Jay Cutler for various stupid reasons.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 11:18 PM) Marshall Martellus and Alshon is a scary set of Receivers for a QB to play with. Forte is just icing on the cake It's shocking how one of the worst receiving corps in football the past few years has turned into one of the best in a matter of two seasons.
  14. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 11:17 PM) There's been a few occasions where Ditka picks the Bears to win an upset and it actually happens.
  15. I came back from down 74 with Andre Johnson and Matt Forte. They scored 76 of my 112 points.
  16. QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 10:08 PM) On another note, I think I'd hit Chris Sale better than I can hit a pitching machine. I could never time them up for some odd reason It's a timing thing. I sucked at hitting them too.
  17. Wow, that last drive was majestic. 18 plays.
  18. What holding call? Total bulls***.
  19. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 10:27 PM) Ok, why the hell is it so hard for Gruden to say Alshon JEFFERY? He said it right once.
  20. Gutsy call and it's rare to see Forte get a short yardage conversion.
  21. Why didn't Trestman challenge that spot? He called timeout anyhow.
  22. Lol Paea was untouched going through the line and came nowhere near the punt.
  23. Huge play by Peppers there.
  24. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 10:07 PM) Podlesh needs to draw a penalty there He did get run into, he just avoided it.
  25. BJ Raji is really annoying.
