  1. Pierre almost let that ball go over his head.
  2. QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 01:38 PM) Crede would have made that play He might have.
  3. Teahen didn't look too good on that lightly hit ball.
  4. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 01:34 PM) And Westbrook wasn't finding the zone. If it wasn't for Alexei and Pierzynski jumping on fat pitches, we probably could have had two walks in that inning and it'd be still going on.
  5. I like how Steve was talking about Marson's arm and then Teahen steals on the next pitch.
  6. Why did we bother to steal there...? Teahen's not that fast.
  7. Westbrook is falling behind. Gotta be patient and make him throw your pitch.
  8. Rios got robbed there. Looks like Westbrook is hittable today.
  9. That strike 2 to Pierre was ridiculous. He isn't a midget.
  10. Alexei's lollipop throws make me so nervous.
  11. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 01:02 PM) Right after the sportcenter the tv said its blacked and im at SIU Carbondale, if I dont get this game Im going to be very pisssssed off. I think you get blacked out for Cubs and Sox games on MLB.TV too. This whole blackout crap is ridiculous.
  12. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 12:59 PM) I just read that Jon Garland is the opening day starter for San Diego? ... They don't have a real ace.
  13. QUOTE (The Baconator @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 09:56 AM) I'm not digging this platoon idea. If we're going to platoon players, leave it with the Jones/Kotsay bag we have right now and see how that works out. If we decide it's not working, go out and get a full-time DH and scrap this platoon idea for good. The thing is, this real DH isn't all that easy to get. And the platoon is the way to go when you have skill challenged players like Kotsay and Jones or even Cust for that matter. In related news, Cust is pissed. So if nobody bites, he may just ask for a release.
  14. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 09:01 AM) I would take the Jones/Kotsay duo over Cust. Cust strikes out way too often and hits for a low average. The only thing good he does is hit a long ball every 5-6 games. I do think this team could use some additional power.....but not from Cust. His negatives far outweigh the positives and I wouldn't take him if he was free. But he walks a lot and puts up a very good OBP, something this team desperately needs. We don't have a single guy on this team who can touch 100 walks.
  15. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 09:26 AM) What are they doing with Jake Fox? Is he part of the big club? If so, is he starting? Yes, but no. I would really like somebody like Cust in this lineup, a power lefty bat who can DH and platoon with Jones. Let's all hope that Mark Kotsay sucks enough for KW to pull the trigger somehow.
  16. QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Apr 4, 2010 -> 12:20 PM) Per InsideTheSox twitter, opening day lineup will be as follows: 1. Pierre - LF 2. Beckham - 2B 3. Quentin - RF 4. Konerko - 1B 5. Kotsay - DH 6. Rios - CF 7. Pierzynski - C 8. Teahen - 3B 9. Ramirez - SS See, Kotsay's not batting 3rd. Why don't you step back from that ledge, my friend. Him hitting 5th is almost as bad.
  17. This Yankees bullpen might not be pretty. I was never a fan of moving Hughes.
  18. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news/artic...sp&c_id=cws I think this will be pretty cool, seeing Big Frank on more of a regular basis again will be refreshing.
