Looks like today's ump didn't like Dickey's knuckleballs much. I don't blame him.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 08:31 PM) It has to be to pitch him inside. Almost all of his homers have been to left field this season. That last pitch Gavin threw to Mauer was an off-speed pitch on the outside corner. Mauer should have hit it hard. But eh...

Gavin just mowed through the heart of the order. If we can get 7 innings of 3 run ball out of him, that would be nice.

The turf finally bites the Twins. Gomez gets that ball on one hop on natural grass. If only Jim was 10 years younger. He could have scored on that Konerko single. We got all those runs back. That's good.

Morneau really set the tempo that inning with a good AB. Let's get those runs back. I'm not comfortable being up only 2 in this dump. It's more like losing by 2 if you ask me.

That was bound to happen.

Every time I look at these scores...4-0, 3-0, etc, I remember the games in which we were up by that score last season and then I remember how the Twins would come back and win... I'm just way too traumatized.

Wow, way to get our hopes up.

What's with the breaking news of a trade?

Wow, BA with two RBIs? That's unpossible.

Did Perkins' Tylenol finally kick in?

9 up 9 down. God I hate the fact that Punto and Gomez are hitting right next to each other. Two s***ty hitters that hurt us all the time.

Last time Gavin pitched, we were also up 3-0...

Well that inning sucked. Middle of the order and we go out in order.

A signature up 3-0 and then strike out swinging by Thome there.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 06:58 PM) Good line by the Twins' announcers...the White Sox are looking for a fifth starter, WE'RE looking for a first starter. Probably it's Blackburn for now, but he's certainly more like a Radke type than Liriano/Santana in 2006. ANTI-JINX: Yes, Gavin, you looked really good last time out against KC until things fell apart in the middle innings on you, along with the Alexei Dumbfense. You have to wonder what happened to Liriano. He was still good last year, although it was against really bad teams.

We need to knock Perkins out of the game this next inning and tag some more runs. More as in 3 or 4 more. Unless this Twins team goes down 7 or 8, they can somehow come back. We saw that last year.

Why are Jason Kubel and Justin Morneau so ugly?

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 06:53 PM) Small complaint, but why were they not running on that double? Probably because of what Cuddyer did to Getz yesterday.

Did Alexei have to jump on the first pitch? We've left two on third now. Gotta at least get one of them in there.

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 01:28 AM) This is one of the many reasons that Kenny Williams is the White Sox GM. We could have this guy, here's an actual quote from Met's Gm Omar Minaya: "One thing we like about Francoeur is the amount of games that he plays." Because there's basically nothing great about him. At least he stays healthy right? His arm's pretty good, but he's not that good of an outfielder in terms of range. And we all know he can't hit very well...

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 11:39 PM) The ump with the emphatic called 3rd for the no-hitter! Wasn't a strike, but the hitter deserved that for showing the bunt to start the AB. According to Gameday, that ball was right on the outside corner.

We should have gotten more than just one there.
