  1. Could have been better, but we got that one run in.
  2. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 07:24 PM) Yeah, in one moment he can mesmerize you, but the next makes a simple play look tough or has a mental error. Alfonso Soriano much?
  3. Alexei's cost us 3 runs over the last two games with his defense. He better bring the bat with him tonight.
  4. Alexei's stupid play puts us down 2-0.
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 31, 2009 -> 06:44 PM) Yeah there was a radio promo on "Sweep the Sox." I think they really thought they'd get well on the Sox. They didn't. Praise for Pods. He's proving a lot of people wrong. I admit I didn't want him back. Maybe he's destined to only play decent baseball for the Sox, nobody else. His contributions today were huge obviously. He set the tone nicely. Gotta keep it going obviously, but this was a nice win. I admit I didn't want Pods back and praise him today. Are any of you who were down on the Pods acquisition changing your tune? I think a Kansas City radio host also talked to Greinke about hitting A.J. last year in a series at the cell. I think the Sox scored 6 off of Greinke in that first inning and rolled over them in the series. When will they ever learn?
  6. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 31, 2009 -> 08:09 PM) What is odd about that report is I cant see the Astros trading Oswalt to a NL Central team. Exactly, which is why I say BS.
  7. Nice idea to put the schedule on the jumbotron.
  8. QUOTE (joejoedairy @ May 31, 2009 -> 07:15 PM) isnt that the point? By way too much, I mean we probably don't have enough to get him. I think he's signed through 2012 at a relatively good price.
  9. QUOTE (tommy @ May 31, 2009 -> 07:05 PM) Dan Haren. Dan Haren would require just way too much. He would make this team a World Series contender though.
  10. This article screams BS at me. Who's his source? How does he know he would rather play for the Cubs or Cardinals? Why would the Astros trade him to a division rival? Seems like a flawed article.
  11. Angels came all the way back after being down 8-0. That also helped me win my fantasy game this week as well. 3-0 for the week.
  12. QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ May 31, 2009 -> 06:12 PM) Close the thread down....Oswalt won't waive his no trade clause to the Sox I really don't think we need Oswalt. Not at the price of what we were going to pay for Peavy and maybe more.
  13. Josh is starting to heat up again. Seeing him K every other at bat makes me cringe inside, so this new wave of hitting for him is making me feel a lot better.
  14. QUOTE (Jimmywins1 @ May 31, 2009 -> 04:30 PM) We offered Richard and Poreda for 3 years of Peavy, no way they get traded for 3 months of Bedard. And Peavy is way better than Bedard.
  15. Our first road sweep since that series against the Giants last year. I certainly did not expect a win today, but this team's proved me wrong. Great 9th inning against Cruz. Danks battled and Thome and Pods absolutely beat up Greinke. Let's go home and sweep Oakland to get over the .500 mark. How we do on this homestand can really shape what's going to happen in the ALC. Five games against Detroit.
  16. If Bobby didn't exploded against the Pirates, we'd be actually over .500. Blech.
  17. Jenks has the middle of the lineup. Won't be easy.
  18. If only Josh actually ran the bases right. Might be a 8-4 game if that happened.
