What does Chuck have to do with us drafting Rose?

MLB Discipline for pitchers a joke
He doesn't get paid during the suspension, so at least that's something. Milton Bradley's appealing his two game suspension when he can't even play. I personally think he might be doing it so he doesn't lose the two day paycheck (which is probably somewhere around $10,000).

Are We Looking to Trade for a CF'er?
QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 06:39 PM) Anderson usually hits the ball with authority, it's making contact that's been the problem. There is no way his walk rate is going to stay this high, but if anything it means he's looking comfortable at the plate and seeing decent at-bats. I'm not going to put the cart before the horse, I'm still not confident in his swing and it'll take several more weeks before we can see where he's really at. It also means that he's not swinging at junk all the time anymore. If pitchers start laying it in there early in the count, Brian should be smart enough to adjust and crush some pitches.

That's A White Sox Winner!
QUOTE (Wanne @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 06:49 PM) I gotta tip my hat to Lillibridge. Had a very rough ST and beginning of the season...but you have to admit having him in the lineup (double good with Getz) has really sparked the offense. I'm hoping this is a wakeup call to Lexi to get his head outta his ass soon. And if BA starts to really struggle...I'd have no problem with Lilli in CF. Lil' Bridge is Ozzie's type of player (fast, good defense, good base running ability, tries really hard, can't really hit all that well). If BA ever struggles, you already know who's gonna get the call.

Carlos Quentin
QUOTE (WCSox @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 06:48 PM) M-V-P! M-V-P! I said this myself on Facebook the other day. Of course, that is if he doesn't have any stupid injuries.

Orlando is still going to win that series. They're clearly the better team. I don't know how they let that one get by them though. They had a double digit lead at the end of 3.

Carlos Quentin
QUOTE (Wanne @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 06:33 PM) I love being around DBack fans listening to them piss and moan about trading him! That's the argument I always have when I hear Sox fans b**** (a small few I think) about trading Young. DBack keep Carlos without Young IMO. Quentin > x5 Young NO BECAUSE IF WE STILL HAD YOUNG, WE WOULD NOT HAVE THIS WHOLE CF PROBLEM. BRIAN ANDERSON SUCKS!!!! I WANT ROWAND BACK!!!! lol

Will White Sox fans also boo BA if he goes 0/8?
QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 04:30 PM) Well since this thread got bumped when Brian "Cracka Ass Cracka" had a s***ty game, it's only fair that it get bumped again when he raises his stats too, right? .273 BA, .429 OBP. No power yet. If BA can hit .273 for the rest of his career, he can be on this team forever. I'm also loving the OBP.

Carlos Quentin
The losers on CBS predicted that Quentin would only hit 29 homers. He's already 1/4 of the way there already. xD Carlos Quentin is the Chuck Norris of baseball. Nobody has s*** on him. From now on, he is officially named Chuck to me.

You gotta give Salmons some props for playing hurt though. Although he almost had a negative effect on the team today.

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 18, 2009 -> 04:28 PM) If he gets 12+ rebounds, I am fine. He has obviously improved the past few months. Boston doesn't have any effective big men. Noah and Miller should rebound all series like they did today. Davis did almost have 20 points today though. I don't expect that to go on. Hopefully, Miller shoots better on Monday.

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 18, 2009 -> 04:09 PM) Say what you want about Noah, but I don't think he is the type to ever "mail it in". He'll go balls to the wall buzzer to buzzer. That doesn't mean that he'll be any good. I know Joakim tries hard, but he's just not all that good of a basketball player.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 18, 2009 -> 03:05 PM) I love Derrick Rose. I love Tyrus Thomas. Mr. Noah is quickly becomming another man crush despite almost scarring me when he fouled Pierce. Salmons is choking Ray Allen style, Hinrich... ugh, though he was serviceable today and Gordon is up and down, but makes the big shots. Great game though. A superstar finally reborn in Derrick Rose. Stop yourself for a second there mister. You can love Tyrus, but you can only love Noah on select games. Watch him mail it in on Monday.

The Bulls can win the series, I'm 60% sure of it. The lack of KG really allowed D-Rose to penetrate and score on them.

Damn it. Ugh. What a horrible game.

That was a little risky there by Lillibridge.

Fields needs to shorten up here and drive this ball to the right side and get that tying run in.

I think Ozzie is in love with Brent Lillibridge right now.
