  1. Clevinger is gonna throw a Maddux at this rate.
  2. He needs to get in better shape. It's fine if he had fatigue last year since it was his rookie year. But there's no excuse for it this year.
  3. The Sox dodged a huge bullet. Clevinger was damaged goods. You'd also have to think that the deal probably involved Dane Dunning. Cleveland would probably turn him into the next Shane Bieber.
  4. That's not that close...umpiring this series has been bad.
  5. I propose they introduce relegation and promotion.
  6. He's clearly figured something out this year. This is his best power year since 2017. You know, back when baseballs were juiced.
  7. Wasn't the initial injury on his left knee? Edit: he injured the right knee initially and also injured the left knee in late August against the Royals.
  8. And they let him pitch with this injury for at least 3 starts...
  9. His zone was so small that none of the called strikes could have been balls lol
  10. Liam grimacing after throwing 2 straight sliders.
  11. Pretty much all his issues recently are because he can't throw strikes.
  12. Jimmy Lambert in the 8th? Cairo is trying to let the Padres win this one.
  13. Padres are still 2 up on the Brewers. They have a little bit of a cushion. But with Cease going tomorrow you'd think they would want to win this one.
  14. Mariners just clinched a playoff spot on a walk off homer.
  15. Maybe you let him face Machado and Cronenworth. Then go with Lopez for Drury.
  16. Yeah, I agree. He really should be your 6th starter next year at best.
  17. Stoney mentioned this just now, but if he won't be used as a starter next year, he could be a nice long relief/multi-inning guy next year. If he can throw 97-98 as a starter, he can probably reach 100 as a reliever. With his secondary stuff, that should play.
  18. This is easily Martin's best start of the season. He's throwing up to 98 MPH and has shown a really effective slider and change up.
  19. I was following the Giants game for fantasy baseball and noticed Joc Pederson has gained even more weight than when I saw him play against the Sox earlier in the year. He's still hitting, but his OF defense is all kinds of awful. Simply put, I don't think Joc Pederson is an option to fill RF this off-season.
  20. The Sox should have 5 runs by now if they can just hit some sac flies.
  21. I didn't know who Davis Martin even was before the season but he actually has the 3rd best stuff on the starting staff right now. You can maybe even argue he's 2nd since Kopech is super inconsistent.
