LCS’s w/o LAD, NYY, Red Sox, or Cubs would be very welcome.

It’s hard to fathom how dumb MLB is.

The last three days, during the week, there have been playoff games on during the day.

Tonight, a Friday night, there are virtually no sports on and certainly not anything that would be better than Postseason Baseball. And the schedule is empty

They were avoiding Monday night football…and needed that travel off day.

You also would be starting the playoffs right after the regular season ended staring Monday.

Padres had to fly to Chicago.  Tigers from Boston to Cleveland.   Dodgers from Seattle home and the Reds from Milwaukee to LA.

The best they could do is have both AL series start Monday.

They weren’t avoiding MNF, the season ended Sunday, they always have a day off before playoffs start in case they have a tie break game.

There are no 163s anymore. It’s for weather make ups. Bottom line, they schedule the World Series the way they want it, and work backwards to schedule the rest. It was fine doing Tue-Wed-Thurs, and starting the DS today.

If anything...waiting another day gives the "hot" teams that won during the first week even more of an advantage, making the 4 bye teams wait yet another day or even day and a half in the case of the later start times.

And obviously another day of rest for all their pitchers.

How did I miss the second out? Ah well. Must resist the temptation to text wife's family full of Cubs fans...

Byrd on short rest…  apparently not so gouda.

That was embarrassing.  Routine play.

lol now they are saying the Cubs were rolling the dice by starting Boyd

Sleeper agents activated

Imagine pitching Soroka AND Civale in a playoff game. They are this close to a position player pitching.

Great start, sounds like Chourio is done for a while though

"Overrated" chants for PCA lol

At least Boyd can come back and pitch game 4 cause he threw 30 pitches? lol

Hamstring injury. He's gonna be out for the rest of the series.
